Rewire - chasing in a twin usb socket into the wall.
2.5 twin and earth cable wired through the floor void and dropped down in 20mm oval conduit. The chasing machine cuts a 20mm chase in the wall the same size as the oval conduit allowing for a snug fit for the oval conduit.

I am rewiring a house all all the cabling is new colours, the cables are install in the ceiling voids and flush in the walls. Cables with in the walls are places in 20mm oval conduit and these go in easy as I have my chasing machine set up to this precise size. Intermediate switches in this video are Hager grid switches, there are three intermediate switches and on 1 way switch for the external...

Hello pal, just curious how you find that mark on your conduit bender, is there a certain measurement that applies to all of them?
@@kianbarber1774 it the measurement from the back of the bend. I put that mark on mine so apprentices can measure form there. Measurement is three width is the pipe.👍
Looks prime for a rewire, with that cable cancer......!!
@@MADSPARKS31 it certainly is a rewire
How do I put 4 different cables in 1 socket
Question, do you produce a minors works for this?
@@MADSPARKS31 personally I do for jobs like this I do. On small jobs I send the invoice from an app they then confirm and pay and I send the certificate then as it’s a good way to get paid quickly.
Love the way the conduit goes all the way to the box. Very professional
Where is GLT?
👍
Nice vid. Whats the 21/2 time the diameter figure some people quote. Cheers
@@SME_Ste I always do three time times as that was what I was taught and never been wrong yet 👍
Wall wasn’t pva first
No pva
its called a new build
Super glue it back on
Had a question about your short vid about earthing a gas meter. You have a swa cable going up the wall behind the gas meter, is it not suppose to be 150mm away from electrical cable as per regs?
Hi, there’s no gas meter in there. Everything is electric in there 👍
@@lkelect1cal theres no gas meter in a video about earthing a gas meter?! Im not refering to this vid ive commented on. Im refering to this one ruclips.net/video/WHRhymmK3Kc/видео.htmlfeature=shared As comments are turned off for it so cant comment there. Id like clarification as Ive installed some swa quite close to a gas meter and wondered if as its swa, the 150mm or 250mm for a consumer unit proximity regulation doesn’t apply.
Is it the same with 25mm conduit mate?
@@thetruth6693 hi it is 3 times the diameter your multiplying by so it would be 75mm 👍
Not one single clip 😂
A couple of nails count? 😂😂
Extremely safe no RCD protection either 😂😂
lol looks safe 😂
@@mrzooty4841 completely safe 😂😂
Just big enough for a child's fingers
Non of that is fire rated though, we use Linian fire clips for fire rating and they also look a lot better
@@MOTO_LEW thanks for the comment I’ll get some and do a comparison 👍 have a good one.
@@lkelect1cal there banging trust me you’d never use p clips again all you do is drill a 6-7mm hole put the clip on the fp200 gently hammer it in the hole… you can get the clips that hold 2 fp200 cables too 👍plus you secure fire rating as red plugs and screws are not a fire fix
Sounds good, certainly be giving them a try 👍
@@lkelect1cal what do you to fire fix ?
What about the electrical interference that could result from having the electrical and speaker wires side by side? Couldn't you get noise on the line?
Nice
First
Yes part 1 it took 5.5 hours all 1st fixed cable back to the board, link for heat alarm in as well👍

The shard building
You love it.....!! That's why we have apprentices....!!
So where does the cables go in the stat and then where does it go to the 2 port, longer and more in depth version of this video would be ideal
The feed coming in goes into the thermal cut out and the load side goes totally he brown of the valve. 👍
Only the apprentices.....!! 😂😂😂
Well he still part of the team 😂😂😂
That’a probably imperial conduit too,
@@dogwalker666 it is half the flat is wired via conduit rest t&e

Boggles my mind that most people dont know how to wire a plug. They disappoint me
When I was but a lad, I went up and down the high street trying to find a 13 Amp plug that wasn't fused. I mean, why would they sell them if they were already fused?
Plugs in the UK are required to have a fuse...
@@marktaylor4277 they are a good idea and it allows for fusing all different sizes. There are 2, 5 and 15 amp plugs that aren’t fused but these mainly for lighting.
@@TheToastPeople Maybe... but I was talking about a 10yr old in the 1970's. Correct terminology being the key. Fused vs Blown.
Personally i like to leave my eart a little longer so its the last to get ripped out if anything happens. Dont know if this is right or wrong.
The plugs are designed that even if every wire is the shortest possible length, they still pull out in the correct sequence
I’ve never been so excited to watch someone attach a plug head. Great energy
Finally I can make a male to male extension cord.
All jokes aside good video. I've heard they used to teach the UK children how to wire these in school or something. They don't do it like that in North America. I had to learn it on the job by googling the colour codes and even then I was powering a device with the other end.
