1998 Cardinals vs Chargers Highlights w/ Dillion's call
Some of the best trolling as the Raiders were walking in 😂
chargers choking against the cardinals. some things never change
Happy Holiday !
I love to see rare footage like this. Especially of a team no one really thinks about with the Cardinals in the Sun Devil Stadium Era.
I was there. The fans tore down the goalposts and paraded them through the streets of Tempe. Good times.
I'm not a Cardinals fan in the slightest, but 25 years later this is, in my opinion, still the best playoff clinching moment in NFL history.
I remember this, like if it was yesterday. I hope to see the CARDS win the Super Bowl in my lifetime.
The last time fans stormed the field at an nfl game
The last time fans stormed the field in an nfl game
Is this the last "pitch invasion" in American professional sports? Can't think of another one since.
Yep!
I was 7 when this game happened…I won’t say it still hurts to watch, but it still certainly irks me. 4TH AND 10 TO THE CARDINALS AT HOME? WTF MAN
RIP Coach Tobin
Still till this day smh😢
ROOKIE CORNERBACK CHARLES WOODSON'S FIRST CAREER PICK SIX...46 YARD PICK 6#!!!
I was 10 years old at that game!!
Is this the last time a pro sports game in the United States had a crowd storming? I cant think of any. Well besides the Malice at the Palice but that wasnt celebratory lol
Me and my Dad were in the nose bleeds one of those memories I will never forget the whole stadium held hands
Ohhhh the memories of that game. I had season tickets that year and I took my Godson to every home game that year at Sun Devil stadium. We rushed the field and we even got to briefly meet the legendary Junior Seau. Nearly 24 years later, we still reminisce about that game. Sadly, this team hasn’t given us much to talk about in the last 4 years other than when will Kliff & Steve get shown the door 😂.
Tim Ryan and Dan Jiggets called the game
They lost to MIN in the playoffs that year
What a crazy game
This is also noteworthy considering what transpired that spring. Arizona had the #2 pick in the draft and the Chargers moved up by trading Eric Metcalf in exchange for drafting Ryan Leaf. At least for one season the Cardinals made the most of their draft day fortunes at the expense of their trade partner.
#13 kicked 13 consecutive field goals with the score being 13-13. This 3rd game winning field goal happened with 0:03 on the clock and they won by 3. Just a coincidence though..
That throw by Jake the Snake Plummer to Jenkins was the most stunning I have ever seen my whole life. It was heartbreaking for Eagles fans during that game at Veteran Stadium.
The fact that the fans stormed the field and tore down the goalpost was probably inspired by the same thing happening on the same field a couple years earlier. That was when ASU (led by Jake Plummer & Pat Tillman) upset the 2x defending national champion Huskers and ended their 26 game winning streak. The fans stormed the field and tore down the goalpost, then paraded down the nearby bar strip (Mill Ave) with the goalpost.
JaguarGators new Chris Jacke field goal led me to here
This is the last road loss by the 49ers (last loss in the decade of the '80s) until Week 1 of the '91 season when they lost to the defending SB champs, Giants (rematch of the NFC title game from the previous season). Now I see why after choking away a 23-0 lead on the road. Good on them. lol
Go cardinals great team 80s miss phoenix st louis cards team Lomax jt Smith Roy green Jetstream oj Anderson
Gene Stallings as head coach, so good 😊
Cardinals forever since 1983 st louis cardinals go cards!
I too taped this game as this happened!
00:30 All teams mentioned except for Miami and Jacksonville, and including Tampa Bay, made the playoffs in the 2021-22 season.
You don't see NFL fans storming the field.
Was 8 years old at this game. Remember all the cups flying in the air at the end. Also happened the night before at the ASU game. This was the day I became a die hard Cardinals fan.
Green Bay won that playoff game. Rice fumbled
I’m in this video! Go cards!
Last time in American sports where fans rushed the field.
It's happened in college games.
@@finchborat no fucking shit
As a packer fan. Jackie was only good under pressure. With all the missed extra points and field goals. He did make the ones that mattered the most.
And then they kicked the hell out of Dallas.
Such a great call.
Heard this on the radio, while in a traffic jam leaving Phoenix International raceway., after Nascars first race in Phoenix. Alan Kulwicky won his first race That day and did his polish victory lap.
I was at this game. We rushed the field. Amazing game. Electric
I miss seeing Tillman roaming the field.
Jake the Snake and the Cardiac Cardinals. That was a great year!
This might have been Plummer's final career fourth quarter comeback. I don't think he had any of them in his years with the Broncos and the Cardinals only won a handful of games after this one the rest of his time there.
Roy green woooo
Despite living in Seattle and following many Seahawks-related channels, YT recs thinks I like watching the Cardinals win. Interesting.
Wish we had this guy now
Old Sun Devil Stadium
Rest In Peace to the great Pat Tillman ☝🏼
At the game and this game was when i started bleeding Cardinal red. No other sporting event that i had attended would match that level of excitement and noise. Thank you for posting this.
