Remember this documentary fondly for a very specific reason... I was at the Deicide gig in December 1990 that was filmed for it and the mass of headbanging hair throwing up some devil horns at the camera at 49:35 is me! Great to see this memorable moment of my life from 30 years ago and this great documentary preserved online!

Annoying short video crap

Good job, man, and thanks for confirming that I wasn't going crazy. I also owned the VHS and later the DVD when I lost the tape somehow. I could have sworn there were gunshots originally and was wondering if it was my imagination or if there was some issue with my new receiver; or maybe I had a faulty DVD. It annoys the hell outta me that they would remove this, especially when it was such a prominent part of the the original show.

I saw the whole video, at first I thought, wtf is this, a joke? Nope, badass video, great job ...

Well this sucks :( I have noticed another thing. In the hospital scene, the DVD segment has a crowd screaming over the dialogue, which doesn't hide the gunshot BECAUSE IT'S NOT THERE. In the VHS part, the crowd is more quiet and, to me, the sound seems more live then edited like in the DVD part (and there's a gunshot). I hope I make myself understandable LOL

Listening to Deicide, Slayer, King Diamond, the list goes on, does not mean anything other than what that person chooses to do with what they hear. Burning these records does not make a person more or less Holy, just as wearing a shirt from a Christian band or putting a cross necklace on makes a person more Holy. I'm a Born Again Christian in my faith in Christ, grounded enough in what I choose to stand for that I'm not effected by something I hear or watch. Personally I love the music and Decide, Slayer, King Diamond are some of my favorite bands. I love the music, lyric wise it's not different than turning on the TV and watching the nightly news or watching a movie. It does not mean you yourself have to agree or be a yes man or lady to everything the artist says just because you love the band or film yet you can still enjoy it. Take from it what you enjoy, regardless of your faith or lack thereof and sift through the rest. Anyway, for the record (pun intended) Steve Ashiem in my opinion is one of the all time best song writers as well as drummers ever. First time I put on Deicide first record on cassette tape (yes I go back a way's boys and girls) I was blown away. The whole album made my jaw drop but Dead By Dawn was the song that to me no other band among that genera could ever touch.
