Some would say this would fit Bride of Discord... But I have a crazier idea for a possible Fan Fiction idea that could be fleshed out. Ponies find a strange flower in the everfree forest, whom later start to fall ill and if left untreated go into comas that even magic can't get them out. But one key factor? It only affects single mares and stallions. *Not discovered till the end of the fic* Fluttershy helps take care of some of the comatose ponies, unknowingly getting the affliction. During one of her tea parties with Discord, she collapses feeling ill. Dropping a teapot shattering it. Discord runs to her, ask her what's wrong. He tries to cure her, but even his chaos magic has no effect. Knows other magic wouldn't affect her. She explains that she was taking care of ponies afflicted with the same symptoms, and how they never wake up. Discord in shock starts to panic, worrying for her. Then when she falls all unconcious he ends up screaming her name, and admitting his feelings and kisses her. The kiss being the cure, love being the cure. Before discord notices she woke up, he still says the truth of his feelings... Which she replies to with the same.

Loved it. Everything fit the characters perfectly. I could see this working the MLP G5 characters as well
