2008 dodge ram 3500 engine cut off, no sputter, nothing like that. just shut down. roadside diagnosis determined that the cp3 pump failed. In this video, i go over how to remove the cp3 pump without removing the fan , doing the work in the least invasive way possible by modifying the puller tool.

Fixed my lorex dvr that died one day. No power no boot fix for lorex dvr. Turned out to be a bad power supply.
I have the same issue, except sometimes the blower motor will run if the knob is turn to a setting with the truck shut off completely. Came out to a dead battery. Same problem?
Your ignition switch needs replacement
Its located in steering column behind the key barrel
Thanks!!! saved me a bunch of time! also, after update check in "MY DEVICE" , "SETTINGS", "MARKETS" and select the proper country. For me the default was europe, and my USA subaru did not show a 315Mhz option. Switching to USA fixed issue.

Did you have to delete the fault message with obd scanner? I have 2014 W212 200 CDI and did the same as you but i still have the open hood warning. I did also got Active hood malfunction

@TehArtfulDodger I used 12v lighter jack tire pump everything seemed good next day dead batter and check charging system light battery has over 12v sitting and 11.89 running fuses are good must be the alternator 😵💫
Generally with transformers you can go higher in voltage and amperage, but going below specs is asking for trouble.
Thanks for posting. Mine is Exact same issue this morning. My cameras are newer (5 years old from Costco). Camera was totally dead and I immediately tested directly the power supply (mine is 48VDC). It has 48VDC. This is directly coming from the plug with multimeter once connected to the center pin on the plug and one on the outer metal. So I assume it is getting 48VDC to the unit although there might be a failure that causes 48VDC to be available but in actuality it might not be able to supply what is needed due to whatever. So now I will take out the inside stuff and do some more diagnostics.
Can the burnt plug stop my truck from staying running? It fires up and dies instantly.

You saved me! Ours turned off and would not even power on. I started shopping for a new Lorex DVR, when I came across your video. Just like you said, all I had to do was go through our myriad of extra cords to find one that fit. The DVR powered on immediately and we could see all of our cameras! I cannot thank you enough.

So my lift pump took a shit so I changed it, now I’m barely getting drips out of the high pressure line, but I’m getting all the fluid shooting in from filter housing out the return line.. cp3 still good? Or what’s my issue
I bypass the switch with a paperclip and the still comes on
@madscientist6869 thats what I explain in the video that there are 2 switches, and one of them is a normally closed switch and 1 of them is an normally open switch.
I did everything in the video but the relay is staying hot temperature wise long after vehicle is off any suggestions
How long will this repair last? Are we talking about for ever a couple of months does this repair cause issues to the big beefy blue wire that we are tied into for the trigger?

Finally. I’m having the no blower when I adjust the wheel. Up in down off up on down off.
Just changed out my cp3 pump, Do I need to prim the line? Got a new fleece lift performance pump and fleece combo fuel filter and water separator. Engine starts for about one minute and if I accelerate it a bit, it shuts down. Please help.

Brilliant fix. I noticed that the pinout on your dad's 3500 has 3, 10-gauge wires. The 2005 Ram 1500 I am trying to fix has the 2 big wires. Mine are Red and Blue at the top as opposed to the Brown and Green in the video. I'll bet the color changes has to do with Daimler/Chrysler days, the Germans use the Brown color for hot. So Red for me is battery and Blue is blower, I would assume those are also the services you cut and spliced. Your 3rd 10-gauge confuses me because it would mean you have 2 10-guage wires to and from your blower motor. In the absence of another big wire, I am thinking that the white in-line 3-way splice for me, should be the wire color that comes from the other side of the blower motor and resistor. Would that be correct?
The white wire, in my case, is a trigger wire. It is used to switch on the relay, which in turn closes the circuit between the top 2 big wires. You can choose any wire that is a key-on powered wire.
Hey everyone I’m facing regular cps diesel injector pump diesel leaks , what is the cause ?
I used this on a 04 ram 1500 that kept having blower motor problems and burning ignition switches. Fixed the issue but now the radio and wipers aren't working 🤷
Double check the plug on the ignition switch if it's seated all the way, and wires in the plug are good. Also, double-check connections on the connections to the clockspring. When you say the wipers arent working, do they constantly stay on?
@@TehArtfulDodger no they don't come on and turn signals are also inoperable. I'm thinking a plug for sure.

No, that sounds like an electrical issue. If it was the cp3 it wouldnt start at all

I’m not so sure it was the CP3 that failed. I’d be willing to bet it was the FCA or the Fuel Control Actuator located where the plug is on the CP3 itself. They are known to fail. And unless you have half a million miles on the engine or run extremely dirty fuel and don’t change your filters, those CP3’s are not usually prone to fail.
It is the weirdest thing. It's almost like the shaft end snapped. I spin it at the end of the video and go over it a bit. I think it's the -20c cold start that did it in. Canadian climate is hard on everything

Yeah, I’m having the same problem with mine. The blower motor stops and the windows won’t go up and down. If I tilt the steering wheel up and down or tap it, the blower motor starts and the windows will work. I’m going to try this method.
