Yeah I hate v4 mode.

What’s stupid about it? It replaces the black plastic cover that comes with the car.

@ the black plastic vanity cover only covers the intake manifold, this covers the entire engine bay! There are vents on the rear deck lid that allow the rising heat to escape which you are blocking with this! This is basic 101 performance! The reason those vents are on the rear deck lid is a mid engine car is far more difficult to cool! Thats why there are so many radiators. Take this off your car immediately!

@@bubbafatas2588​​⁠obviously you do not have a hard top convertible, or you would know there is a black composite cover that this is replacing. It is designed to keep the heat away from the convertible when it is down, as well as interior of the roof from heat damage as well as the tonneau. While I suspect you have good intentions, you are are incorrect. You might be referring to a plastic manifold cover which is simply for decoration and does absolutely nothing for heat. I painted mine red. It also does not come with the HTC, but can be purchased aftermarket. The vents are there to let heat escape but have nothing to do this this cover. Smart. I didn’t want to cover the exhaust pipes, and the JB steel sticks did the trick. The high heat foam spray is a good idea too.

I live north of Toronto Canada and the car is parked for the winter but when I get a chance I will try to post a few photos of what I did. Your fix also got the job done so well done sir and nice of you to post for others to be aware of the heat generated by aftermarket exhaust systems around these aftermarket rear diffusers.

@@djfrankib45 I think the eos is different. The one I have from eBay mounts outer underneath. I don’t. Think it can mount above. I’ll check later.

So I checked again. My version is installed correctly. I think they may have changed the design for all 4 to go inside. Mine is not that way. Thanks

Only on the top (scrap) layer. I’ve seen some people use a plastic wrap like Saran Wrap, but I’d be a bit worried at speed with an expensive camera that way.

@@JoesGarage-c8corvette I'm sticking to mounting the insta 360 to the back windshield to play it safe with my ppf. Was thinking even if I put a scrap piece down it may still damage the ppf under.

@@elijahray9792 if you have an aftermarket exhaust, I doubt you’ll notice much of a difference on the noise side of things. You may feel a bit more pep. More air in for more air out (exhaust) makes for better engine performance.
