i do aquascape contest, i have that low iron rimless tank u talking about, but it chinese brand so it cheaper, i love the gluing on it, its very clean, theres no white mess on the corner of the tank.. they say low iron stuff is about how clear the glass is, im not sure but compared my tank to fish store tank, mine is far clearer maybe because mine is high tech aquarium with expensive light, etc.. idk why most aquarium makers dont do gluing like these low iron tank, those glue ruining aquascape, its like vignette filter on a photo..... yeah it waste of money if you dont do aquascape..

1. of course you appreciate a hand out, not everyone is like that...I stand corrected, FILTERS are not overrated !. 2. come on "driftwood!, talk to me when your tank crushes because you added wood for the street. you didn't do homework to talk about that, period. 3. when it comes to air , remember it is not up to the size of the pump that determine the price, yet the more silent the pump the better. 4. chemical products are one of the top reasons why this hobby flourished, don't go there and punking them for nothing, what you are saying makes sense but not necessary true, i mean just take add copper, that is a chemical and what it does poorly is hydrogenation of the cis isomers of fatty acid and they sink into your substrate that why you see your water clearing , Seachem for example has better chemical products that do better job than adding copper. 5.rimless are better not just because they are without a rim (don't be ridiculous) and they are not a waste of money, end of story. but yes you don't need them for some low tech plants and mollies i give you that. 6. lighting goes the same as rimless tanks, the higher the plants you are growing the better lighting the need, even a low tech cheap plants do much much better in a quality light, again lighting is not a waste of money, actually some have options build in them that money saving. 7. cheap heaters are catastrophic if you happens to live in rapid shifty weather place. buy a good quality heater and what you pay you will save in you electric pill and the well-being of your fish. #depunked

Low iron glass is more clear than standard glass, neither have an impact of water chemistry. Personally I love low iron rimless tanks, but I would never pay even close to $13 a gallon for them that is a ridiculous price. The rimless aspect if more important for aquascapers especially those intending to submit them to competitions.

I'd definitely prefer the nicer fork over a dropper post. You can always add one. I have a Pivot Switchblade with a dropper post, and I never use it. I'm just carrying around an extra pound of seat post for no reason. I'm 6'1" though, so you might get more use out of one than me. When you drop it though, just watch out for that rear tire biting your butt, ha!

Just got this bike. Stripped it down immediately, converted it to SS with a Wheels Manufacturing eccentric BB, and switch the brakes out. I got a large, and at 6'2" I feel a bit jammed up on it, but I'm used to a longer stem and traditional XC. The claimed 25lb weight is more than optimistic. The wheels are heavy even with the 28 spoke count. Over all, the its fairly complaint for me at 200lbs, and it has a playfulness that exceeds the spec'd geometry.
