@@MrCalverino They really raised the difficulty on this one. From 1 to 2 the difficulty is from hidden blocks and BS spikes. To 3 they out did themselves with a ton of new ways to die. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@redmenace6671 for games before 2006, like PS2 games, they generally all use a 4:3 ratio

@@sigruine6667 I typically just use whatever settings it normally has. CRT TV make sense to use a lower ratio because that is what was most prevalent.

@@redmenace6671 I just beat the game. Man thats the hardest game ive ever played. Took me 3 days. I had to keep retroarch open for like 3 days cause i wanted the retroachievements. Stage 9 almost made me quit. last level is easy compared to stage 9 lol.

@@DoesDavidMatter There are definitely some difficult spikes. Even more depending on which character you decide to be your helper.

@@redmenace6671 No problem dude. I’m actually playing this game at the moment as well. I’m at the end and I started stat maxing the other day. Without max stats, I managed to defeat dark Valefor, but Ifrit destroyed me.

I always have the habit of having Thivery full level and dragon crest. And I'll be honest, Eiko, Amarant, and Freya are the best characters to team up with. But if instead of Freya we have Quina, I think it would be even better. My favorite mage in the game.

@@redmenace6671 yes it is very hard but not impossible with priper equipment... I can defeat ozma with all item stolen, yes i need approx 40 minutes to do it... It is very challenging.

playing it for the first time almost to the end of the game. It’s been such a killer game sad it’s almost over 🥲 the designs have to be my favorite out of all the games

@@nopalsito_ I thought it was really well planned out. There were a ton of cool FMVs which pushed the PS1, my first PS1 could not play FF9 reliably.

I like the game but there are things holding it back from being better. The controls are weird, we had better controls in 1990's FPS. There are a ton of bugs. My playthrough videos are actually a mash up of 3 different playthroughs. Quickly I learned to make back up saves so if something did happen I wouldn't have to restart again. If you can get it for a decent price I recommend trying it out. It did some things before they were more main stream. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@redmenace6671 - I've been working my way through the advanced campaign as well, but rather slowly since I tend to do anywhere from 2 to 5 missions a month depending on my mood for the month. The next mission I need to take on is Kanbei's Error and you basically have to abuse the AI and have a few luck rolls go your way in order to beat it. Though if your stuck on Sami's Debut I'd suggest just dealing with the initial onslaught and then waiting until Day 35. That way all of Eagle's fighter planes and bombers will fall out of the sky and you can just focus on dealing with a few battle copters in the upper middle part of the map and lure the medium tank defending his base over to the river and then trap it there with your fighter jet. Then you can just sneak an infantry past and cap Eagle's HQ.

I thought they were going to be easier than they were. Totally agree they are not worth it. It's been 20 years since I played and didn't remember how terrible they were. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I wasn't trying to be super badass at disc 3. Even though Auto-haste with Auto-regen is game breaking. I try to wait until the end of the game (usually) to beat super bosses. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I was wondering if there were "smaller," monsters in Memoria. It might be the emulator I play on when recording. Other games have had weird things happen. Not game breaking, but different than playing in the original PSX. Thanks for watching and commenting!

The battle system is quite limited. Beyond spells most of the characters have like 7 skills. ATB is really wonky especially when you should be going first. And damage is pretty static not as much randomness. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I like Triple Triad more, minus the random rule. But Hit and Cold is fun. Wish I could skip the instructions if I am doing it multiple times without leaving.
