Aftermath: Golden Gate Fields Racetrack
It's been about 3 weeks after the closure of @GoldenGateFields . I made this video while I'm staying @themirage . The setting is fitting as Golden Gate Fields Racetrack is closed and The Mirage will be closing soon. This video provides a recap of my last day at Golden Gate Fields: Belmont Stakes, Golden Hour Pick 4, Golden Gate Fields vibe. I'm also concerned about racing in Northern California. I'm betting Mystik Dan to win the Belmont Stakes. The reason his trainer Kenny McPeek won the Kentucky Oaks with Torpedo Anna then the following day won the Derby with Mystik Dan. Yesterday Torpedo Anna won the Acorn Stakes so I'm hoping that McPeek magic happens again today. On the Belmont undercard I'm betting the race Woody Stephens Stakes. The horse I'm picking is Imagination for to combo of Baffert as his trainer and Dettori as his jockey. Take out the Preakness Stakes performance, Imagination has finished either 1st or 2nd. Sorry I messed up as Air Force Red was scratched from the third leg while Bacalar was scratched from the fourth leg.
An hour after posting the video I found out the horses were scratched from the Golden Hour Pick 4: Blue Dream Machine from the first leg, Bacalar from the second leg, and Air Force Red from the third leg.

According to the DRF in The Dinner Party the favorite Emmanuel has struggled in a yielding and good turf. In the Preakness, Uncle Heavy has won on a muddy and good dirt.
Very interesting take. I’m sketchy about the 3 in the Sir Barton. I prefer 7, due to a class drop with a horse I feel has a TON of talent. Have Catching Freedom in the Preakness. His stock is low, hoping for a steal!! Thanks for breaking it down.

There is an update as on the third leg the No. 9 horse Uncle Chilly is scratched. Therefore I'm going to pick the No. 6 horse Last Call London.
Here's an update - on the third leg (Race 10 at Santa Anita Park) the #5 Kissed by Fire is scratched. Therefore on the third leg I'm going to bet the #7 Justique.

I know that Timberlake is the favorite now. If I'm basing off pedigree the horse I like is Dimatic as he's a son of the young, hot sire Gun Runner. At the moment he's 8-1 morning line. The other horse I'm thinking about is Northern Flame as his broodmare sire is Bernardini who was the Leading Broodmare Sire in 2022. My thoughts might change on the morning of the race.
I'm not going to bet on the Rebel Stakes today, but there's one that intrigues me - Just Steel who's trained by D Wayne Lukas. He's run twice this year and finished second both times. However he is sired by Triple Crown Winner Justify who's also the sire of the early Epsom Derby favorite City of Troy.
