Although it's not through ZFS Master, the better way to restore a single file from a snapshot would be to go to the hidden ".zfs" folder at the root of the dataset. There you will find all of your snapshots and a read-only copy of all of the snapshot contents. You can simply copy the file back to it's original location. It would be very inconvenient if not impossible to try to clone a huge multi terrabyte dataset because you accidentally deleted a single movie.

These features should be built into unraid.

ZnapZend is pretty powerful, Sanoid is better in my opinion, but support of ZnapZend is great feature

Only thing I dont like about the Master Plugin is that if you create an dataset with it, then go to share, you see an share is created that has primary storage on array

It has been a while I last considered Unraid. Is there still no option to have https on the management interface?

I don't get a sign in option when I click the view button. This is got me stuck at setup as I can't add routes or do much of anything else. I linked it to my tailnet, but can't get it to let me add routes. I tried removing the plugin, nothing. Tried removing and readding the server from my tailnet. still nothing. And the TS IP trick refuses to connect to my server. How do I get TS to let me manage routes on my server? Update: After 4 hours in the unraid discord, none of us have any clue why this doesn't work for me at all. IPs won't connect, I can't manage routes without terminal. I've gone as far as blowing away the full plugin ensuring no lingering files in my flash/config/plugins, reboot, reregister, checked SSL, IP, DNS, verified tailscale settings, reset and rebuilt tailscale countless times. It just won't work for some reason.

Can yall do a video on running headscale unraid? That way you don’t rely on tailscale.

@Rottendog-n2q Thank you so much for this information, I had given up on it. As a beginner user, UnRaid can be simple and yet so frustrating at the same time, the growing pains makes a Synology looks mighty inviting 😂

How to set unraid to use SSL? It’s explained for the docker container by changing it to serve, but you seem to skip the step for unraid and it is shown as secured on your andromeda server .. quite frustrating to try find this. Excellent video otherwise!

Thank you so much for the clear step by step. Somehow got the exit node part to work, but it won't let me access my local network. I activated the subnet. (192.168.8.0) in the Tailscale admin console, but no luck. When using the app directly on my phone it works flawlessly. How can I troubleshoot the error in my subnets ?

@uncastshow You mentioned (31:32) you would talk about not secure https later but I never heard about it. I am not finding a good guide on making it secure for unraid. Would you mind explaining it?

When i click on login so i can make it an exit node it just gives a blank screen and eventually says "hmmmm... can't reach this page. ***.***.***.*** took too long to respond... any idea?

Hey there, great video! I run into one problem at the moment: when I open Jellyfin via Tailscale WebUI it cant find the server: No servers have been found using the automatic server discovery. I guess its some obvious setting im missing. Help from anyone appreciated.

a question for use with Tailscale, is it possible to use this for gameservers in unraid? i have a goup of friends (5-10) who i play some games with that we could definitely use this on. I know there is a limited number of users you can share your tailscale network with (3 users for the free tier) but i got an idea to have one account that will be shared to all my friends so that we can login and connect our devices (there is a 100 devices limitation on free tier). Don't know if someone already tried this.

Does not work for me on emby. After i add tailscale. emby launches like nothing happened.

I travel for a living and I have the GL.iNet AX3000. I LOVE it, it is perfect for setting up a single hotel connection and then using its hotspot for all your other devices - which are all now conveniently connected to your home DNS ad blocking using your choice like Tailscale, Wireguard.

Thank you for awesome video. I’ve set ssh up between my server and my remote backup server. Everything works great, but I have setup a user script to run it daily. But I have to keep authenticating Tailscale before the script will run? Anyway to overcome this?

Absolutely fantastic guide! I got this working on my unraid server and now can be permanently connected to my home network securely! I was using the built-in Wireguard VPN before, but this seems much more functional!

I have the Gl.Inet Spitz AX & I'm trying to get this sorted out. I don't want to use an exit node, as my upload is 2 mbps. I'd rather use split-tunneling. I have my Unraid server advertising my LAN, but I can't access any of my apps, e.g. Homarr via the LAN IP & port number (192.x.x.x:port). However, I can access it using the tailscale IP & port number (100.x.x.x:port). Setting up tailscale on my iPhone, I can access my unraid server & all the apps just fine without using the tailnet IP. Any Ideas?

I'm currently using Cloudflare's Zero Trust tunnel with sub domains for Sonarr, Radarr and Sabnzb. Can I incorporate those domains in Tailscale, and how would I do it? Thanks - Good video!!

Do I have to get rid of my custom docker network for this to work? With custom docker network I have to add the port manually.

Thanks for the video! it works great; however, the tailscale plugin affects the network setting and the network adapter is no longer recognize on any VM after enabling tailscale. I have to disable tailscale plugin in order to use the passthroughed 10gbe adapter on vm.
