Binaural Earth is a channel dedicated to providing immersive audio of the real living world. All audio is recorded on location using the binaural recording technique to create the effect of a 3D listening experience (esp. through headphones). This project is an offshoot of the recording and post-production work I have done for the past 20+ years. Many of the videos are BLACK SCREEN. This is to keep the focus on the audio, as that is the primary focus of this project. Let your mind make the picture to accompany the sounds.
No synthetic sounds are used on this channel. I feel that gives the listener a more authentic experience. The microphone used for this project is the exact same microphone I use for the atmospheric backdrop of the acclaimed recording series The Magnolia Sessions, released by Anti-Corp Music.
This series of recordings is intended as a functional sonic resource. Requests and commissions are strongly encouraged.

GREAT capture! How were you rigged up? This is one arena I haven't tackled yet.
Thank you. The mic is a mannequin head loaded with RTA mics. I chose to go with those because they have super flat response and pick up literally everything. The recorder is a Zoom F3. I have everything rigged up and in a backpack with the head zipped up and sticking out of the top. Lastly, i use a regular old tshirt as a windscreen and to keep the entire setup from being too attention grabbing when I'm using it near civilization.
@@BinauralEarth if people see you lugging around a head in a bag, things might get hairy... 🤣
Most definitely. If people see me with the shirt over it, I just look homeless, and they try to avoid me. Win/win.

Hey, Thank you. It is continuous. The only edits I make are to cut out really obnoxious sounds like people revving their engines or loud music. On the longer recordings (8+ hours) I typically loop an hour or so. But this particular one was 1.5 hours straight.
