You can only use the PGP key pair generated by StartMail within the StartMail webmail interface. However, if you're using an external email client (IMAP), you can import and use your own PGP keys. Hope that answers your question.

It's true that in order to change a passphrase, you need the original one. However, it's always possible to create a new key - although you won't be able to access your old emails this way. In any case, this shouldn't be a reason to close entire accounts. Having problems resetting new password. It says my startmail address and my password do not match. Don’t understand... my email is right, and I’m supposed to be able to login with my newly reset password. when I go to login it won’t let me. Going in circles. My subscription is recently renewed. HELP!!!
