Thank you Alex! This podcast has been super helpful. Crossing my fingers for this recruitment season.
Glad I can help. Good luck!
Get to the point straight man
Literally a gold mine of information thank you so much whoever you are i hope you know i appreciate this so much!!!
You're so welcome! Happy to help 🙂
Glad to see you thriving despite negative temperatures!
Thank you Michael! It is very cold up here for sure, but all good!
Let’s goooo!
When you add back tax adjusted interest this means dividing it by (1-tr) right? Because the interest has already been taxed and we want to un tax it first ? Or are we going to multiply by (1-tr)?
Yes, dividing the post-tax interest expense by (1-tr) gives you the pre-tax interest expense. You can then add this back to help calculate unlevered FCF.
Yet another banger from IBS
what about synergies adjustments? any need to mention that?
When you are adding non controlling interest. Are you adding only the percent of the company you own? Or are you adding the entire amount of the company ?
Just add the percentage of the company that you own, since it’s a minority stake.
Praying I have this issue in a few months 🤣
🙏🏽
Hey man I’m a brand new subscriber as of about 25 mins ago and I just recently finished my MBA! I feel as though I wasn’t as informed as you are through my schooling so I wanted to ask how much of this are you learning through classes and how much through outside resources? And if so would you care to share some with me??
Thanks for subscribing and congrats on finishing your MBA! Cornell's MBA has an Investment Banking Immersion and a specific recruiting process so I learned a lot there, but I also learned a lot from various other sources. For example, check out the 400 question guide (BIWS) as well as the textbook "Investment Banking" by Rosenbaum and Pearl.
u gotta get to the point way quicker
🫡 thanks for the feedback!
This was needed!💯
2:09 is when it starts
Timely!
You are so great! You're saving me!
Great Video
very insightful channel, should have more views
Great insights on Bschool, the middle market, grit, and professional development. It was also inspiring to hear about Jon's career growth and Lincoln International's growth as well.
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the interview!
It's the smile and energy for me
SUPERDAY. 💪🏾 SZN.
Insightful vid. Keep em coming. Being able to showcase your grit is a skill within itself.
Hi, I was recommended to your channel and I am struggling with understanding a few concepts I came across in the book by Rosenblum and pearl- under the treasury stock method they have mentioned the following formula which I believe you have talked about- equity value- share price * fully diluted shares outstanding and then it's followed by this: fully diluted shares outstanding= basic shares outstanding+ in the money options and warrants+ in the money convertible security. Now under than they have talked about the net share settlement and the if converted method- I couldn't find a video or podcast on your channel- could you please shed some light on this?
Hey, thank you for checking out the channel and for the question! Is your question how to calculate those underlying components for the treasury stock formula?
Yet another banger from IBI
Ahahahahaha

Great episode - very insightful overall!
Love it!
Did you forget to add the video?
Nope! I just uploaded my podcast episodes to the RUclips channel (300+ episodes made before I started this channel).
For current assets, did you mean to say "Accounts receivable"?
Yes, you're right! My mistake, I meant to say A/R or Accounts Receivable for Current Assets.
the goat
Love the videos man. Is there any chance you have an email I could message you on?
investmentbankinginsights@gmail.com
Quick question- how can I access all the 300+ episodes?
The show started as an audio-only podcast. You can listen to everything here: open.spotify.com/show/5ZnISCn5v2rKV6ZYcbyuMn
Thanks a lot! Keep up the great work!
Thank you!
Very well explained. Thank you.
Love this
Good video, keep up the good content 👌would love to collaborate one day on a shared video
Great intro, thanks
If I may take your mortgage analogy one step further. Your home is "under water", but imagine if you rented out the home, such that, the rented income covers the monthly mortgage with a margin of profit.
This is great brother!! 💯❤️
@@reginaldbellamy4566 thank you!
@@InvestmentBankingInsights Your welcome, congratulations on your internship, and the knowledge you possess is greatly appreciated! I am a sophomore, headed towards my AS in finance. I can use your help bro on some knowledge and key points on how to pass investment banking interviews!!!
great explanation! I wonder why this channel isn't bigger. SUBSCRIBED...
Thank you!
This was super helpful, thanks a lot!
@@sahithrimmalapudi3871 Happy to help!
Why aren't inventory changes taxed?
@@ahana1600 Taxes don’t depend on changes in assets themselves, but on how much profit is being generated. Let’s say you have a lemonade stand. If you use extra sugar to make more glasses of lemonade, but haven’t sold them yet, your inventory levels have changed but no taxes are owed because you haven’t sold the lemonade yet to generate profits.
This is very helpful. I learned something correctly
Happy to help!
great video, thank u!
Glad you liked it! Thank you for the comment
Hi sir, I am a student taking a master's research in finance. My research is about investment banks, can you explain where the accounts receivable come from? is it from the sale of the services but the client paid in the future?
Yes, you’ve got it! When a company expects to receive cash (within the next twelve months) but hasn’t yet, it goes into accounts receivables.
Thanks bro, great vid!
Thank you, much appreciated!
Are there any titles you recommend reading?
