Why I would not buy Makita Saw again, here is a summary of my experience: • I purchased the Makita Circular Saw (Model DSS501ZJ 18V) for €181.95 on 17/10/2024 at Hornbach Netherlands. • I used the machine only a few times over three weeks, I went over a small pin accidently once all was ok, however it stopped working when cutting wood next day. • On 30/12/2024, I visited the Hornbach service desk for support, and they sent the machine to the Makita Service Centre. • On 09/01/2025, I received a response from the Makita Service Centre stating that the issue was not a product fault. They quoted a repair cost of €135.22 plus €10 for shipping, totaling €145.22. My Feedback: I am deeply disappointed with the quality of the saw, which failed after minimal use in less than a month. Previously, I owned a less expensive saw from a generic Chinese brand that lasted significantly longer. I chose Makita for its reputation for quality and after-sales service, but unfortunately, both have fallen short in this case. Given this experience, I do not see value in paying Makita this amount, even another Chinese brand-for a fraction of the cost, as I am confident, they would last longer than three weeks. I informed the Makita Service Desk that they may keep the broken machine.

You've made one serious mistake during the test - you haven't read the manual, just flipped through. If you had read it, you'd have known how to adjust speed/ torque settings to the load properly.
