I love sunset hights and chaos island in shadow generations. I don't know why people are so confused about the timeline though, because if you talk to Gerald, he flat out says, shadow is visiting places from the future. Generations isn't changed in the timeline, they just added stages the characters haven't visited yet (at that point in the timeline).

But it doesn’t make sense for forces to be in sonic x shadow generations, because this game takes place in generations and forces came out 6 years later. Besides that it looks cool!

I don’t get why people think knight will be a boss. I think the rivals will be infinite sonic and emeral and that they’ve shown all of the bosses except black doom. Mephiles doesn’t seem like a rival to me and even though shadow is going to chaos island it would mean nothing for him to fight a titan he never has

I’m willing to bet (I hope based on sheer logic) that Mephiles has more of a role in this than just being a rival fight. I mean he’s a time god and this is a generations game…so it would stand to reason.

Generations had 7. Shadow will have 7. Infinite garenteed. But the Titans though. A current Super Sonic boss fight being destroyed by Base Shadow when future Sonic can't even touch them. Even by Sonic standards that would through Power scaling out of wack. Shadow would steamroll Sonic lore wise when they are supposed to be close.

If we have Mephiles and Sonic. Infinite is almost garenteed. We have to parallel Sonic Generations Rivals. Infinite is more of a Shadow rival anyway

Mephiles will be a boss not a rival fight, mephiles Is not a rival he is a Part of God.

if they added a titan fight it would probably better than then actual final boss lmao, also if they did add a titan it would be knight.

Since this will probably be the last Sonic game I buy and or play, all I hope is its just a stable port of Gens to enjoy on next gen systems since it and Unleashed were two of the first Sonic games I ever played

Ok so what I've been confused about with it is like ok so from what I know this is happening at the same time as it was with sonic like with generations and everything but he's going to be in stages that came out after generations came out so is Shadow going to the future or at this time right now did something happen and now what happened to Sonic is happening to him. I am so confused about it but I am still very hyped for it

I'm just damn happy Sonic Generations has been freed from Xbox One/Series and PC jail and finally in the grasps of PS4/5 and Switch players on top of a whole new game where Shadow is the main character. Not everyone thinks a PC or Xbox One/Series is worth it for Generations.

My guess is Shadow Generations was gonna be its own game but they weren't confident in a standalone Shadow game after Shadow the Hedgehog 05 did pretty bad. So they quickly polished up an updated version of Sonic Generations and bundled it together.

Sonic team won’t add new stages cause they’re lazy and incompetent, I mean if they couldn’t do it for the shitty cyberspace stages then they’re not gonna do it for this copy and paste sonic generations game

They didn't got a great leader who was willing to listen to criticism of the game during the development the staff who brought up if character doesn't look good or the voice doesn't suit the character ect they giving game director example of what would mass audience will say so they giving the game director a chance to avoid that criticism or not perfect example of having a great leader during game development is Hideo Kojima for Metal Gear Solid 4 not sure you play that game or the series but Kojima had other idea how to finish Snake story and his staff told him that ending is not good idea and what Kojima does he listen what his staff thought about original the ending and went with different ending that made the staff satisfied with the new ending

Yeah i am wanting to get the game but not at full price. As someone who had played Sonic generations i dont want to pay for whats essentially a 60$ DLC. However if they do add some things to sonics side to change things up a bit such as QOL changes, or even make shadow playable in sonics campaign, then id be down to buy it full price.

People are hating on SEGA for this, but conveniently forget that Sony is remastering Horizon Zero Dawn for a system it already has a next gen patch for with ZERO changes. I thought Generations remastered was shallow at first, but compared to what Sony is doing, this looks like a AAA effort in comparison.

Probably.....because there's nothing to discuss. It's a remaster with the Drop Dash and some Chao. That's it.

The sonic sonic generations remaster doesn't have new textures.

My biggest concern is the engine that the game runs on. The original Sonic Generations ran on Hedgehog Engine while Shadow Generations seems to run on Hedgehog Engine 2, which is the same engine used for Sonic Forces and Sonic Frontiers. A change of a game engine would take a LOT of work, if I'm not mistaken.

All that I’m hoping for is Endless Possibility is still playable in the levels

According to GamerGuyd7Aces the story for base Generations will be rerwitted and redubbed, which would explain why they're redoing the cutscenes and I think would be a welcome change since the story was pretty mid in the original. And this is probably copium but I could see a final story segment where Sonic and Shadow team up against a new final boss after you beat both games, hala SA2

I mean, it is a rather conservative remaster, so what is there to discuss? It is the same game we played for 10 years, but slightly better. Hooray. It's even less exciting because one will still be able to legally get the original after the coming delisting, unlike the original Classic Sonic games that got replaced by their remakes.

Unexpected but one thing I'd love to see is them adding some of the 3DS stages to the Sonic remaster bit.

I’d like to play through some of shadows stages as Sonic. Kingdom Valley just looks too good
