Trim and Doors going in!

House has been primed!

Things continue to progress at the house. With this update the painter has come in and starting priming all of the interior and garage. Doors, trim and mill work materials have been delivered. All concrete work has been completed as well. #dreamhome #acreage #newconstruction #realestate #newhome
Drywall has started!

The drywallers have made it out this past week and knocked out a lot in just a few days at the house! The rooms are truly starting to feel like rooms now and it's exciting to see it really taking shape overall. #newconstruction #dreamhome #acreage #drywall
Insulation is in!

Last week insulation installers were out and got everything done in just a couple days. This week drywall is supposed to start but sounds like they have a small job they may need to finish. Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC update!

The last 3 weeks our electrician, plumber and HVAC contractors have been out getting all the rough-ins complete for the house. We also started insulation and should be finished this week with drywall starting next week! Things are progressing quickly again and we're loving seeing all the weekly changes! #newconstruction #dreamhome #acreage #newhouse

Roof is officially complete, framing on the interior is all but complete at this point and windows and doors are in! Majority of the interior framing is complete as well. Plumbing, electrical and HVAC can now all start to get installed! #dreamhome #newconstruction #framing

After nearly a month and a half we finally have our trusses and roof on! We ran into some rain just before Christmas followed by a couple snow storms and then followed by sub 0 temps. All of this put us behind about a month and a half on progress on the house. Today's video the family gets out to the house to see that the decking was completed for the main floor. We let the kids take over the camera to give a fun little update from their perspective. It's so much fun being able to watch things from them and how they see things.

Hey everyone! In this video I just have a little update on the house and how things are coming along. Lumber will be rolling in soon and we'll start to see the house really taking shape over the next few weeks to couple months. We're super excited to start really getting a feel for the layout of the house.
Footings and Walls Poured!

In this video the foundation crew was out to dig footings, get those poured and also got the walls formed and poured as well! Love seeing the progess nearly every week and getting things done and coming together. After this the plumbers come in and get rough plumbing, and we prep for the basement slab to be poured.
Family inspects new construction hole!

Hole has been dug and we head out to inspect for the first time! Next up will be the footings and walls, some backfilling, slab prep work followed with pouring the basement floor. Stay tuned for all of our updates on our house as we continue the process!
Construction of our Forever home!

We have officially started with the construction of our forvever home! It's been 8 years in the making and we're extremely excited to start putting this all together. Hey! It's an 8 wide (2 4ft single panes by 5 ft tall). The back of our house faces the south so lots of windows were big for us allowing lots of natural light 😊

Hi, what size are the main windows at the front of you home?
The window for the bedroom is 5' tall by 6' wide. It's a casement window so each pane is 3' wide.

How tall is your ceiling in the basement? Great video I love the way you explain and show even some of the smaller stuff. Giving me ideas for my future build. Drain in the garage and water source in there never had seen that before. Great job!
We did 9ft ceilings in the basement. It's not a full 9ft but dang close. Yeah we live in the country so trying to keep my vehicles cleaner was something I really wanted. Especially hot and cold.
Nice build! We’re drawing up plans with our draftsman and your layout appears to be similar to ours. Are you willing to share a rough drawing of your plans? I’m most interested in how the garage transitions into the house, but the whole place would be great. Your front deck is the perfect place for letting some lead go! May want to consider having your ranching “loss” pile off in the distance and thin out your coyote population. Thanks and good luck with the build.
Ours is a custom build so we're not willing to share any of the actual plans. We did have our garage 45 off of the house. With the way our land lays we were able to have it the way we wanted to.

Are not the Jack-studs for all the windows and doorways suppose to be doubles?
We are not living in stable times. It's been looking like 1939, for many years. May concerted putting on, a blue roof. And a nice livable root Celler as an easy back. I have seen tractors melt.
