@@thatslegit i did a tune up on mine recently too, new spark plugs, brakes, coolant flush, oil change, refridgerant recharge, new bulb in the shifter, new climate control module, new radio, new wipers, power steering fluid flush, and new battery

The sport has a 3.5L Twin Turbo, the xlt and limited have naturally aspirated 3.5L making 290hp whereas the sport makes 365hp

Don’t underestimate the 3.5 N/A explorer though, definitely faster than a stock v6 charger

The 06-11 models are junk. I have a 10 with the 3.5 engine and that 4 speed tranny with those tall ass gears never gets it going. If getting this car get the 2012 and up models.

@thedirtybubble9613 yeah but you have to think that even with those tall gears it's still 211hp stock plus around 35-40hp off the tune, so we will say 246hp which is a healthy ish number for the car mine had 96k when I got it and it got up and moved I beat v6 chargers, mustangs, hell camaros. They move if you pamper them right

@@the2wheeldeal025 No. This car is slow and is not beating any other V6 car. Why would you force a tune on it when these GM high value engines are not meant for that. I think what really held these cars back was the junk 4 speed tranny's that came with them. They are literally 1980s technology. Not only that, they're weak gear boxes. Mine crapped out at 83k and had to foot a major repair bill. Not hard on it either just basic driving. You want a tune get the GM high feature engine which is the 3.6 lfx engine which is mated with a 6 speed box.

I beat one the other day. Maybe needed driver mod idk 🤷‍♂️

He was in drive, not manual mode. Also this is base R/T, it has 2.62 rear end as opposed to track pack/RT Road & Track that has 3.09 rear end and wider tires. These base RT are 0-60 in about 5.5-5.6. Right after buying mine my first timed 0-60 was 5.5 maybe high 5.4 with only Flowmasters and resonator delete

@@gabrielsanchezjr5315 not really, it just doesn’t have a lot of top end. You can get them fairly cheap, brand new starting price is like $33-$34k for a big car with plenty of other non performance features. If you want straight up performance then get something like a 14 mustang gt, about the same price with more miles than mine but a lot quicker on top end. But if you want a fun quick daily then RT would be better. If you want a cheap race car go buy a gutted 90s JDM car and swap a V8 or 2jz in it or something, or a Fox and drop an LSX in it. I’ll gladly take my gap from that in my comfortable heated seats, nice sound system, and power steering 🤣

@@stephenmartin5766 For 35k there are so many better options that are more fun than a boat. Dodge is only fun for straight lines an rt and sxt is never worth it especially cause of interior😂

Even during these times with the used car prices my Charger was only $26 and that was 1 owner with 29k miles and all service records show performed by the same dealer it was bought brand new from. Practically brand new still. My dad bought an automatic 14 5.0 for about the same, maybe less, but it had over 70k miles on it and despite the 700lb weight difference and having 50 more hp stock on stock(his was straight piped) in a dig we were basically side by side, he only started to creep away in higher speeds but even up to 100 I was right on his rear bumper. If I had the RT R&T we would've likely been side by side the whole way if not beating him barely at first. In the end mine is more comfortable, more drivable, and nicer to drive than any mustang or Camaro I've drove. And it doesn't take much for them to run with scats either. Exhaust, intake, throttle body, mild cam, and tune and they are door to door with them. And if you look at the 6.4 exhaust, intake, etc it's not as restrictive as the 5.7 so you could argue that the 6.4 basically has alot of these same mods stock 🤷

I mean Thier not slow, but Thier not impressive for today’s era either. I’ve got a 1990 SL500 with an exhaust with a smaller V8 that is about neck and neck to most R/Ts lol.

@@Loujr2250 the RT is just a budget friendly V8 is all. The SL500 was high performance back in the 90s when horsepower was just coming back into cars

They kept produced the old body style concurrently with the new body style as the Impala Limited from 2014-2016. These were mainly sold into rental fleets which is how I ended up with this beauty. These are actually kind of a sleeper with over 300 HP.

Unloved Cars impala LFX13 on RUclips has a 2013 and he’s added a few performance parts he’s making about 340hp or something like that it’s fast he got his 0-60 to about mid 4 seconds
