I wander who's filming this or how it's being filmed
Perfect footage to be enjoyed after reading Mensun Bound’s “The Ship Beneath the Ice.”
If only they had a ship like that.
Luis Alberto Pardo Villalón (Santiago, September 20, 1882-ibid, February 21, 1935) was a Chilean sailor, who was in command of the Yelcho cutter ship of the Chilean Navy, which carried out the difficult rescue of the shipwrecked of Ernest Shackleton's famous British scientific expedition that spent eight months on Elephant Island (Pilot Pardo Islands, South Shetland), on August 30, 1916, in the middle of the Antarctic winter. I saw Natgeo and I consider it miserable that they do not mention the Chilean capital Luis Pardo Villalon was the one who found them.
9:28 Start
Google: Shackleton's Missing Radio Equipment found on the geojohn website. This article presents a different side of Shackleton and explores the radio equipment that was in common shipboard use in 1914. It discusses Shackleton's hubris and poorly thought out voyage and it mentions how the superb skills of the unfairly maligned Harry McNish became vital to the survival of everybody. The Endurance had only a radio receiver and no radio operator, while the expedition's second, rarely mentioned ship, the Aurora, which was waiting for him on the other side of the Antarctic, had both a transmitter and a receiver.
Probably the most aptly named ship in history.
Another useless video with a misleading title. Almost 11 minutes of crap and stupid music and a minute of actual footage. You people who post these videos have shit for brains.
Skip first 9 minutes to see Endurance.
How had the ship managed to stay in such good shape ? Very interested to know
They should bring that beautiful wooden ship back up and restore it , that would be awesome !
9:29
The first half of this video is b roll of the red ship.
Skip to about 9 minutes... the first 9 minutes is just the searching ship moving through the ice. Boring boring boring (and pointless).
Stunning . Watching the search and find of late cousin Ernest ship Endurance . The music suits to the journey to the find . Would anyone know of this music in the background ?
Who does that music, very nice song
That's it? What a letdown! Did they ever go back and explore the wreck??
They spent all that time bags resources and all I’ve found is about 5 minutes of footage.
Esto merece una película
Fuck this
You guys waste 2/3rds of this film showing crap! I’m here to see the Endurance not your editing skills!😡
What a waste of bloody time 9.00 minutes of bull to see bugger all of the ship, dont waste your time there are much, much better clips of the Endurance elsewhere.
NO commentary ????????
Like if you came here because of Joe Rogan. :-)
Waste 5 minutes showing ship headed through the ice. Click bait.
If you’re not interested in ice breakers or penguins fast forward to 9:28
talk about a stupid and pointless nine minute intro
Don't bother wasting your time on this
I thought all I was going to see was an ice breaker doing its thing
This must be raised!!! Its not a grave, and her preservation is remarkable
She is better preserved than the Titanic. You can see what makes different building materials different. Wood versus iron.
Bad video
Extraordinary men of all times.
How many times can you repeat a very loud 15 second music clip ? Answer at least 200 times.
After 100 years of spin and misdirection, the story of the deaths, disaster and true heroism aboard Shackleton's other ship, the Aurora, needs to be more publicised
I wonder if somewhere deep in that hold are still some of Frank Hurleys photographic plates that he couldn't recover before the ship sank. What an incredible Time Capsule that woulod be .
Great find! Wonder if the Endurance can be reflected and restored for historical purposes? It would make a beautiful museum piece!
Early Documentary Made By Military Photographers of Project: "High-Jump"... Antarctic Exploration ruclips.net/video/L8t2cFOySYo/видео.html
Why haven’t they released loads of photos and footage. Its over a year ago and they did say that they had digitally mapped the ship. Miffed.
The world's southernmost shipwreck?
I wonder if the Titanic would also be well preserved if it sank in this place?
So y’all don’t waste your time like the rest of us, you don’t see the ship until 9:29
Wow so cool to see full intack old shipwreck from old days
Shit vid
"Shes going boys.... I think its time to get off."
9:29 you're welcome.
Your editor needs to be fired. 5 minutes of a ship steaming through ice, 8 minutes in total of nothing and 1 minute of the actual wreck. Rubbish.
If only we could see the crew's reaction to this footage. Wouldn't that be amazing?!
Ahem, She lived up to her name even in death 😮
