Hmm that's a new one. Does the light illuminate? If it's bright out and the sun is on you it can be difficult to see but as you get closer to the material it shows up...

You mean the welded fence to deck connection isn't square, so when you put a square on the deck it's not square with the fence? Yeah that's a non-adjustable and worth chasing down the warranty. We have a local shop that helps with that or I've contacted them directly in the past for warranty things.

Sorry for the delayed reply. That is a great point I missed! On the opposite side of the screw in the middle of the blade there is a small black metal button that you press as you unscrew the blade and it'll engage the lock.

Thank you! They're great tools, a step up from the Ridgid I first had in terms of longevity. Going to be borrowing a buddies Ryobi stuff here soon and looking forward to the comparison on that.

Which one is best for starting handyman job?

@@OKORPE definitely the 6-1/2”. It’s plenty powerful.

Yeah I'd say for simple handyman stuff if you're trying to keep your set up compact you'll be fine with 6-1/4, but get the M18 if you're cutting through 2x material. The 7-1/4" is the most standard size circular saw, but you'll really only miss that extra bit when cutting 4x4's. If you get the M12 it'll do fine for most 1x material, but that's it. Also note what your stores around carry for blades it may be harder to find 6-1/2" in a diverse selection compared to 7-1/4". Cutting technique tip you may or may not know, if the saw is struggling you can pick up the back end of the saw slightly and that'll help it power through. You also use that if you drift from your line and are trying to correct mid-cut.

I just realized you may be asking Ryobi vs Milwaukee...I haven't had time to do that video yet, I did use a buddies Ryobi stuff for a week and was very surprised by how well they did. The 18ga battery nailer was great. Saws did well, Milwaukee does have a bit more power especially in the miter, but no complaints. I'm thinking about getting Ryobi just to beat up for a year and review because I want to see how the tools hold up more than the immediate out of the box quality.
