Hey Rog, this is going to be another awesome build. Thank you!!!
Thank you.
Another prize winner is being built by Rogers Rod Worx !!
It will be for sale as soon as we finish it.
Something I’m curious about is there enough room for the driveshaft to move up and down as the rear axle moves up and down? Seems really tight with the exhaust running below it.
Yes the driveshaft and rear axle are at full drop in the video. The suspension is way stiffer than stock, and I've checked to make sure everything clears during travel
Hey Rog, you're doing an awesome job. Raising those headers collectors along with the E brake cables very nice. Great job again. Thank you!!
Thanks 👍
O2 sensors are mounted wrong
Then they were mounted wrong when Kooks headers manufactured the headers.
O2 sensors need to have a 10 degree or more tilt for condensation issues. That sensors being parallel to the ground will be prone to failing and or giving false readings.
That mock-up system is pretty slick! First time I see that one. 👍
Yes sir! It was definitely worth it for this project as tight as everything is.
Looking good .muffler are really cool first time seeing a muffler like that.
I think they are going to be pretty sharp.
Will the car be unassembled for final paint & body work??
Yes as soon as we finish the exhaust and a few minor things, we will completely disassemble everything for paint.
@@rogersrodworx Wow!! I was just thinking that watching you do exhaust & how there so SO many parts...WELL..You'll have alot of content!!
Good stuff! Didn’t know you had a RUclips channel! Just subscribed.
Only been here consistently for about 6 months. Thanks for the support.
Great work!!
Thanks a lot!
Great tour! Nice to meet the team.
Thanks
Hey Rog, God is great all the time. Thanks for the tour. You have a wonderful shop, an amazing team and you're doing some amazing builds. Im waiting for more content for sure. Thanks again!!
Thanks, still working on the shop. I was just able to purchase it a few years ago, rented it for years before that. So now I'm able to go in and make the changes I've been waiting to do. But I'm doing the work myself and finding the time to devote to that is hard at times.
Where are you getting the custom parking brake cables made?
www.controlcables.com
Love the story ,wish back in the day Canada had the opportunity to go to school like a wyotech or something similar, would have love a career in that field, been a car guy my whole life starting at about 15 luck to meet the guy around the corner ,he had a 35 ford 2 foor sedan and meet a bunch of other cars guys who lete hang out and learn lots now at 55 just switched careers from floor layering knees shot ,cant knee for 7 hours a day ,work at body shop now ,all collision repairs, insurance work ,have a 24×29 foot shop actual rebuild a ftiends 70 firebird for free while i was laid off ,was going crazy needed something to do ,have some of the same tool home made 38 deep throat beadroller powered,4ft box pan brake ,deep throat shrinker stretcher, slip roller and english wheel ,love the firebird build replacing the bottom 6" of car made own backhalf of frame ,doing protouring ,made all my floor planel ,wheel tubes ,to buy all the floor plans in Canada it to costly with 40% exchange ,and you already no what the floor cost lolas you replaced it in that bird your working . Love the channel think.i was in at 276 subscribers lol, glad to see the channel growing ,keep up the great work Zack ,alwsys look forward to the next video ,love every car/ truck ive seen come out of your shop ,going to try to incorporate some of the under hood ideas in my friends 70 bird ,THANKS FOR SHARING MUCH APPRECIATION 😊
Thanks so much for your support. I have learned especially through surviving brain surgery that life is too short. So do what drives you. I tell everyone I don't work, I just am blessed enough to get to do what I love and people pay me for it.
@@rogersrodworx that's what I'm working towards myself ,love the metal work ,keep the content coming :)
Are you putting a bigger oil cooler on in front?
No we opted to just do away with it in these case.
Coming along very nice. Great job. Thank you!!!
Thanks for watching!
catalog build=boring
Thanks for watching!
@@rogersrodworx like every car has all custom made crap at least roger is building a bad ass TransAm and has done a tone of custom work on it already keep up the great work. And don't listen to the idots that don't build anything
I ran the same block off plate. Still has great flow with no issues. 50lbs at idle and holds steady.
Good deal, ITC makes a good product.
Never heard of the E Break , nice to know.
It's a nice option and gives you an opportunity to run speaker pods in the kick panels now
Looking bad ass!
Thanks
Looking gorgeous! Don't forget those dual chrome exhaust tips!! (I know you guys won't, but it breaks my heart when they run straight tips out the back) 🙂
It's not a Trans am without those signature tips, I agree.
I have to do this to a 70 ,great idea covering the panels with upholstery, cant wait to see the seat frame video ,even undercoating would work for textures
Yes, I believe you could use an undercoating product to get a texture. SEM makes a texture product as well but I've never gotten the desired results
Hi Rog, very very nice work. Thank You Sir !!!!
Thanks!
Great video!! Loved to see how the upholstery guys shorten the seat frames for the back seats...
I will definitely get the rear seat modifications on video.
@@rogersrodworx Cool, that be great to see!!..love the T/A series so far too!!
@@jct300m thank you, it's been a fun build so far.
Doing a great job.
Thanks
Nicely done ⭐️👍
Thank you 👍
Amazing work ❤
Thank you!
Very nice ❤
Thank you!
That TA will be a new car. U replaced almost all the netal
We did replace a lot, it's possibly better than new at this point.
Not a fan of the headlights, they appear to small with the trim piece, if they had filled up the opening to make them look more seamless it would be nicer, I like the idea, just not the execution. I would think the late 80's monte carlo or olds cutlass would work better, maybe even from the pontiac 6000 or chevy caprice?
I hear what your saying. I think with a different trim ring I can make them look alot better. I'm still working on something different for that.
Look fantastic, great job ,love the look of those new head lights ,thats way its called hotrod ,you can do what ever you can dream up ,can't wait for nice video ,keep up the great work
Thanks. We are on limited by our own imagination.
Need to see more ,PLEASE ,looks fantastic, I want to see the whole truck ,some details year ? Make ? I assume Chevy? Hope to see a full video ,your Killin me lol
Lol, definitely a Chevy.
Great Work
Thanks
I had one of those power steering reservoirs on my 73 corvette. I wasn't happy with it. Switched to a PSC. I run one on my Jeep too. It has been on for 12 years without any leaks or issues at all. Having the filter in the PSC is a benefit as well.
PSC are good products as well.
Hey Rog, this build is looking very nice. You're doing a very nice job. That's some very good work on that Camaro for sure. Thank You!!!
Thanks 👍
I am still going to call yours a 76 Trans Am because 76 was Cooler and I had one and 76 being the last year for 455 also 76 was a 1 year only on the front end, funny thing though Pontiac sent 4 Trans Ams originally to the movie making of Smoky and The Bandit fitted with 77 front ends like yours made me feel good to know I had same year as Burt drove in movie. Your Trans Am is going to have everything I would dream of having last time I watched you deciding on where to put computer and I had I was thinking something like that I am curious how will it for sure stay dry?
I agree. We rebuilt a silver 76 years ago. 400 4 speed with a red interior. I really liked that car. It definitely had the better look of the 74-76 cars.
The TA is nice, but I came back for the Camaro. I've had both in my lifetime. The Camaro is more of a guys car with all the go fast items and fixin's. The TA's I had were, well, for the girls. As in, which one got more attention from the girls back then? They were bone stock and they "worked" just fine! But the Camaro was for me and my favorite by far. (I know, basically the same car but...)
I get what you're saying, I like them both. The 70-72 camaros are really my favorite of the Camaro body styles. I've got a 71 camaro that, hopefully, my brother and I can build together one day.
I prefer the look of the Camaro too, and no squeaky leaking T-tops. Mainly the rear window pre-1975. Now if Roger could graft a small rear window into the TA.
Making progress!
Yes we are. Just trucking on ahead
The owner of this TA brought his specialty build to the right place!
Thank you for the kind words.
Hello, this project is coming along very nice. The way you're mounting the computer is really nice. Keep up the great work. Thank you!! Thank you!!
Thanks for watching!
Your inspiring me for my 79 Trans Am!!
Thanks, I have a 79 firebird as my personal project. May do some filming with it later on.
Great video! We appreciate your business.
You bet. Thanks for watching
Great info, I just installed Corbeau LG1 wide seats in my 1979 Anniversary T/A. They raise you up to the perfect height. What you may be interested in is the seat brackets. They are spot on to the factory holes and account for the difference in floor heights. Bolt right in and go. May save you some hassle. Good luck
May check into those. The owner is still a little indecisive on the seats he wants to go with.
Amazing amount of small details that will be worth it in the end.
We think so. Thanks for watching.
Love what you have done with your car . I had to do some of the same with my 78 . I can't say anything bad about Dakota Digital gauges I have a full set in my 78 and I'm very happy with them . I can't wait to see more videos and best of luck on your project, and thanks for sharing the video .
Yes, we use them on a lot of our projects. They are great gauges.
Really like your work, and this car is turning out amazing, can't wait til next week
Thanks! 👍
Hello, Will you be removing the engine and transmission for custom paint or lifting the body off the chassis or both? Looking GREAT!
We will be taking everything back apart. The chassis will be painted, the engine and transmission will be painted along with the engine bay and inner fenders.
@@rogersrodworx Thank you. Very nice work! When you have a little time please post the Camaro work. No rush.
Thank you for the all the videos and documenting the progress. I'm using your build as a resource for mine. Been using your tips on sheet metal repair. I'm knee deep in stopping the rust and looks like I'll need an entire floor pan and trunk floor among other sheet metal. I'm restoring my lost for 30 years and now found my 79 Firebird Formula I drove in high school. ruclips.net/video/lMmHq34dePQ/видео.html If you want to check it out. I wish I could fly you here to install my floor pans and trunk pan.
Thanks, man. I'm glad my videos are helping. I'll definitely check your build out. Pretty cool you were able to track your car down and purchase it back.
Really enjoying the work on this car and your detail on how this is coming together. Have a 1976 that is going to need some love. Thankfully not floors. Sail panel and some quarter work for sure and any other hidden gremlins found in the process. Keep the videos coming!
Thanks 👍
Looks fantastic love the under hood stuff ,your custom panels you guys made ,gives my ideas for the 70 firebird I'm working on ,also doing an LS swap just a natural aspirated motor . Great work can't wait to see what's next for it ,keep the videos coming ,love the channel
Thank you so much. I love the early birds as well.
