I’m Paul and I like walking. I try to make a video of a walk every week, usually from the north of the UK. Lots from the Lake District where I live. A few holiday walks too, from other parts of the UK, or even Europe.
Ideal for exploring the lovely corners of the UK, from your sofa, on the treadmill, on that long boring journey. So lace up your virtual boots, grab your raincoat and sunscreen, and let’s go walk around

I found the perfect real world Prancing Pony set | LOTR fans will love this place
Remember the Prancing Pony in Bree in the Lord of the Rings? If you read the books you know that it's described as a wooden building with a large parlour, with a roaring fire, lots of corners for privacy, and rooms for guests to sleep in. Imagine those scenes in this building. We even get to see Strider's boots right at the end!

Lowther Castle is a ruined folly near Penrith, Cumbria in the north of England. It currently has an art installation called Or - more than 500 yellow/gold flags on the lawn in front of the garden ruins. I waited several days until the forecast was sunny and windy to visit. This is the result.

Is there any beaches in or near Keswick?
@@musiclover-x8u there's a lake shore line which is a beach of sorts, but not a traditional sandy beach by the sea - if you want that you need to drive to Maryport
The Auld Grey Town of Cumbria ?....This is an English town...not Scottish...although it does lie close to the border

Such a beautiful, picturesque town set in breathtaking surroundings. I feel so lucky to reside in Kendal. Moving here, helped me bring my passions together: Motorcycles, Photography and beautiful scenery. Thank you for helping spread the word of the peace and tranquillity only an Olde Worlde Town, steeped in history can provide. Keep up the good work. Best wishes from the Lone Wolf in the lakes. 🕊

@@WalkAr0und I am pretty sure, you’re right! Will come back this autumn…hadn’t the opportunity last time to enter the cathedral…this is on my bucket list as well to visit York FC.

Absolutely brilliant to watch everyone getting stuck in and enjoying themselves. went to a weekend at Berkeley Castle, re enactments, battles, archery demo's, family orientated, This is England and long may it last. Oh and not a copper in sight.

Beautiful train station. Definitely will agree to be one of the most amazing train stations in the world. But it will be better if there can benches along the station for the elderly to sit as well as those carrying children with them. This will make the train station also more people friendly. ❤

Went to Newcastle city centre this week. And what a poor experience it is now. Full of dodgy characters, you don't feel safe, every other person is vaping next to you, litter, homeless and to cap in off Fenwicks window is dire. In keeping with the whole area sadly..
My perspective was the opposite, it was a beautiful walk in a lovely city, friendly locals, outstanding architecture, wide streets with plenty of room, much of it pedestrians only, it's a model most places can only dream of. Homelessness is a problem country wide, that's not a problem unique to Newcastle. It's one of my favourite cities 🤷♂️
