It wasn't "technically" a speed-up per se; they switched from a recorded version to a "Live" version. Had we heard the entire rendition "Live" in totality it would've followed suit. Don't quite understand the references to Kanyé &/or Jay -- artists who proceed others typically crystalize the art form notwithstanding the "original" contribution be they singers, dancers, musicians, composers, etc. Everybody talks about JLo's dancing BUT! fail to recall Cyd Charisse! "Nothing new under the sun"except those once in a lifetime talents like Michael Jackson, Judy Garland, Sammy Davis & others.
I have always loved Otis Redding. One of the greatest ever.
