Today marks the first day that the new bridge crossing over Oregon Inlet is open for driving across in both directions! What a view from 90 feet up! I’ve crossed this bridge several times and love ❤️ it much better than the old one👍👍. Me and my family have been coming to the outer banks for over 40 plus years and never get tired of the beautiful breathtaking scenery!! Looking forward to the opening of the Rodanthe Jug Handle Bridge won’t be much longer now ; are you going to make a video of it too? Hope so I’d love to see it! I live about 2 hours away in Greenville NC so I have made more short trips here in the past 10 years or so. It’s natural beauty is what keeps me coming back and I’ll never get tired of it. 👍👍👍🙂🙂🙂

Still only one lane each way seems a waste of money and common sense. Why with high tourist traffic that supports the area?

Why in 2019 are we building brand new nice bridges without a 3rd lane for emergencies. I just don't understand. I know it's much more expensive but the issues that 1st responders have getting to accidents is a PITA. You'd think all new bridges now would be at least 3 lanes.

Finally!!! Nice job with the video. I like the sound of the car going over the joints in the bridge surface. I know it would cost more to build but I don't really understand replacing an old outdated two lane bridge with another two lane bridge. A four lane bridge like the Virginia Dare Bridge or the bridge over the Chowan River going into Edenton would move more traffic quicker and would help during evacuations.

Just like with your southbound crossing, the video was a lot better with the actual audio of crossing the bridge. The real audio makes it like you're actually there driving over the bridge The music just ruins that experience.
