What Did I Get Myself Into
США
Добавлен 26 июн 2009
Thanks for watching What Did I Get Myself Into. We are a father daughter team that do videos featuring puzzles and tons of other cool and unique experiences.
I'm Tanner (aka Daddy) and I'm disabled. Creating these videos keeps me busy and gives me a new sense of purpose. I could have never imagined how puzzles and creating videos could be such a great way to help overcome depression and add some excitement to my life. Also, these puzzles are amazing!
Geneva is the best kid ever. She loves to learn, play with her friends, and she loves art. She is already showing the talents she inherited from Mom. She likes to draw, paint, and experimenting with food.
Doing these videos together has been a wonderful way for us to spend quality time together, expand our minds while we create memories that will last forever, and most importantly share our experiences with YOU, our subscribers.
Thank You for your support,
Tanner & Geneva

My Lathe Ball!!!
This was my fourth day using a lathe. This is part of a special puzzle box I'm making for my Secret Santa! It is a collaboration with Stickman!
I was very fortunate to have the help from Stephen Chin, Rob Yarger (Stickman), John Devost and many others. The thumb nail is how the puzzle arrived before I started turning it.
This video was also great practice for how I can record the next episodes of Borg Box.
As always, Thanks for all the support and watching "What Did I Get Myself Into"!

@@ashendragonstudios Hi Finn! Thanks for watching. We're hoping to start uploading more soon!
Ha Ha Ha , my HERO,,,your NUTTS! Welcome to the Dark Side, Had to get my Angina pills watching this. Good job thou, no clonks, no bonks on head with ball flying out. You got balls, Hmmm long learning curve but you will get there. May the Force be with You,,,,ha ha 😁😁,,,Stephen Chin
Hey glad to see you're back making videos! Lucky member whoever gets that.
Haven’t been puzzling so much lately but had to say that I still enjoy your gift from a couple years ago. Whoever got you this year is super lucky!
@DChyron thank you so much. I'm not sure I'm prepared to do that this year, lol
Glad to see you and awesome work👍
@@DomPuzzles getting the engines warmed up. Lol
I believe the magnets are supposed to all be internal (not exposed) in the solution. The final shape is the same though. Nice video. I look forward to trying the four and five cube versions if I can find them.
Thanks for watching. The magnets are exposed on both sides of the pieces. This made the difficulty a little but harder. If they were one-sided, there wouldn't be much of a puzzle.
Extraordinary! Thank you
@@jblesser thank you so much for watching
Fantastic solving journey
@@jblesser thank you so very much for watching

Beautiful ❤😊❤
Thank you very much
I'm fond of woodturning too. You are so fortunate to be doing woodwork outdoors in warmth and Sunshine! Not possible here in Scotland: rain, snow, winds and very little Sunshine in December. Thank you Tanner, keep up the good work. 🌞🌞🌞
Thanks for the comment. That's so thoughtful of you. Unfortunately, we've moved since that video. Now, if I want to accomplish anything, it will be out of the garage for the time being. Happy New Years
Super slick, way better than some of those wooden ones out there.
Awesome! I saw this on PP but it was out of my price range. Glad I got to see someone solve it. You're right about that aha! moment, so satisfying!
It's a fun puzzle for sure. Thanks for watching
Well done!
Still trying
@@W.D.I.G.M.I.Tanner shoot my bad, I admittedly skipped through a bit and thought the one in front of you was the final product.
@timliebrockpuzzles I appreciate it nonetheless. It's a much bigger undertaking than I expected. We just moved as well, so that added to the delays, but it's happening 100%. Thanks for watching
Nice! I have his All Five puzzle
Wow!! Nice one
Always keep my eye on the Lego Nerd ones. They're all awesome looking.
Man, what a trip. Awesome!
Thanks so much Tim
This is Candice again I did not see where u put or I can get this so please tell me where I can get this
There's a link in the description. The challenge is availability as he's become quite popular.
My name is Candice I'm using my husband's RUclips anyway my husband loves puzzles and I know you said you were going to build something from that book and I was wondering if there's any way I can get one from you?
Also my husband birthday is coming up so I would really like to get him a amazing puzzle
I would love to buy one of the 10 puzzles u r going to make if u have any left if not do u have any for sale?
@@dawsonpatrickw that's so flattering, thank you. I haven't given much thought to what I'll do with all 10. My main challenge is to make them first. There's been a slight delay as we're getting ready to move. The good news is I'll have a custom ship and can get started back up as soon as we're settled.
What was the point of the 'X' pieces?
Great question. They were used to hold the upper half up to display
@@W.D.I.G.M.I.Tanner gotcha
Wow! That was quite intense
Thanks Tim. It's a challenge with us both trying things lol
My Great Grandma died from cancer and My Great Grandpa died from brething weak In this Video
That's terrible to hear, sorry for your loss!!
Really enjoyed watching you solve that one! Great puzzle
Thanks Roger for watching!
I loved this one. Can't wait until his next puzzle. Took me a long time to figure out the final mechanism, I had to reach out to James for it.
Definitely been there hitting a wall. Also: LEGO Voltron!
Good one!
Thanks Tim!
puts a smile on my face, very cozy and excellent video. Patience is key!
I'm so glad you liked it!!
That was an awesome P.S.T.O.Y. (it's Dom AZ, you are not the only one to have fun solving puzzles and I took the same and crazy adventure road with Dom Puzzles). Happy New Year and I wish you a lot of crazy and incredible puzzles.
Hey Dom!! How exciting!! You definitely have a subscriber here! I look forward to your production!!
@@W.D.I.G.M.I.Tanner Thanks.
Great video as always 😂 Costumes are 🔥
Thanks so much for watching.
It was hilarious!!! Great job and great great tips, I'll go back to the karakuri Xmas present killer
Love that, thank you both - great acting skills Geneva.... 👏 and nicely groomed mustaches 😄
Thanks so much. We really appreciate it. Hopefully you've checked out the others!
It was great to see you, Patience and Persistence! :)
Thank you very much. We had a lot of fun recording this!
Awesome video! Patience is the most important in puzzle solving. My wife can't solve a puzzle longer than 1 minute. If it takes more than 1 minute it isn't an interesting puzzle for her. Thanks for the shout-out 😎
I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I'm very much looking forward to you bringing it home!!
Great looking video! I enjoy watching others work out the solves on these!
Thanks so much!!
Great video! The 2nd layer will be the hardest for me, how amazing this puzzle combines so many different genres in one! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much. I think you'd do great at this!!
wow! what a cool (and difficult) puzzle! Thanks for sharing tanner. Always wondered about this one but knew i'd never get to try one.
Thank you so much! This is exactly why I wanted to share this puzzle!
What an awesome grand finale! Thanks for sharing
Thanks so much Jordi!! It was epic for sure!!!
That is an absolute beast of a puzzle. Burr are generally my least favourite kind, but the design of that whole box has me golf clapping. What a splendid object. BTW, your passion for puzzling is infectious dude.
Thank you so much. Such a wonderful comment.
So many levels of deep, amazing puzzle and your reactions were priceless as always.... so glad you were able to share this ....
Thank you so much Keith. I always get permission when I share a puzzle. It was definitely a nice treat to have Jack's permission.
Wow awesome puzzle, the Burr with the broken piece was a genial idea. Maybe the two pieces are different but you can still solve the Burr, I think.👍
Thanks Dom as always! You've always been a great supporter!! You are correct; the replacement piece would work just the same. The voxel is accounted for with the magnets on the broken piece.
Cool intro. You are a great salesman. Nice and colorful puzzle.👍
I'm not sure how good of a salesman lol. I'm sure there's a huge stock pile of purple soda out there lol!! Thanks as always for watching!!
Nice intro!
Thank you so much!!
I forget how comfortable Geneva seems to be in front of a camera at her age. Definitely steals the show.
Thank. It's so funny how shy she gets doing school functions. She gets so nervous and then shines. I can't wait to watch these videos with her when she's older!
6:02 too cute
Thanks so much! I try very hard to look presentable. Geneva is ok too lol. Thanks for watching!!
Thumbs up big man
Thank you so much!!!
As far as sequencial discovery boxes go, it's a short finish, but the craftsmanship alone, the finish on the lock disc, the shape of the tool, the wood tones.... I want this more than some Karakuri boxes. This came up randomly in my feed, I have a feeling I'll be going down a rabbit hole and subscribing.
Thanks, I appreciate it. If you need any help shoot me an email. It's a fun hole to fall down but you need a parachute lol.
