No actually with respect you dont see. Debating the history of salsa is not the question. If it was we would have to look at where we are today, influences, and quantify them with the past. What we are talking about is that most current on1/mambo salsa dancers in the clubs CAN..NOT...DANCE. The old dancers from the Palladium era could dance however. When the partnering ends there is horrible movement. They look ridiculous. And styles are irrelevant.

When a person grows another set of legs let me know but until then dancing is dancing there is only one body. And if you cant dance alone you sure the hell aren't dancing great when you add another person. Thats ridiculous and a sign of what YOU are doing. The reason you dont know this is because you think you can actually dance. LOL. Fortunately for me I can rip through Guaguanco, Rumba, Cuban style, Mambo, Popping, breaking, etc... Maybe you should practice more and talk less.

Salsa professional.. thats funny. The question itself already states the situation but....Real solo dancers can actually dance. Take someone like Frankie Martinez. In Hip Hop as a DANCER he would be average. Every dancer I know by 16 has that amount of body control and emotional expression. And he's one of the exceptions in the salsa world. Being good and I mean actually good at HipHop, Afro Cuban, means you cant get away with that garbage movement and hide behind the partnering.

Well just put on any social dance video and wait for the break and watch the nonsense of expression that follows. If you cant dance, and I mean actually dance when you are by yourself...YOU CANT DANCE. And Salsa and WCS dancers look horrible with just a few exceptions. Walking around partnering isnt dancing its leading and following. We wont even get into dancing during the lead/follow. The only reason its not talked about is that people dont think they are the ones that cant dance. Ask Martinez

Oh and dont worry because Salsa is the exact same thing. With the exception of some incredible dancers like Yamulee and Juan Matos, etc.... Salsa is just as bad if not worse. Its like a high school talent show. At least WCS being a bastardized version of a street dance has an excuse for the dancers not really being able to dance. Salsa has none. All of them should be forced to take hip-hop and afro-cuban before they can even continue.

Please. This isnt Hallmark reel in that corny non-sense. They have skill at what they do the same way ballroom dancers do but this is processed the same way ball room is, made for competition and by mostly white people. Excluded, pretentious, untruthful, and a lack of soul. Musicality for musicality sake and making faces isn't developed emotional artistic dancing. The problem is the audience not the dancers. Just read the cheerleaders on here. ASK FOR MORE.

Huhu, welcome in Ol' Europe. There's some proper dancing space with a good floor, decent lights, several cameras and even an editing sofware, can you believe that?! Oh, BTW these guys are f... good too! ;)

J&T used the lyrics to choreograph the piece and they are acting out the characters in the song: Tat playing the main character who is in this abusive relationship and Jordan playing the abuser. They do this in most of their choreography (check out their viva la vida piece).
