Why you didn't post rewinding videos now?
Great job dennis. I think your a good winder. I'm more impre5at the views you got. That's why they call you a rock star. Diamonds
Nice
sir 20hp abb 72slot motor कनेक्शन बताईए plz900rpm
Fake video, thodi aachi video bna or Pgl Mt bnao
That motor sounded like the victim of homopolar current. Was that motor used on a VFD? If electrical current is allowed to pass from the motor shaft to the frame through the bearing, it puts micro pits in the rolling elements, and the races. It makes the bearings very noisy, even if they turn freely. I've tried running the bearings for hours, and re-lubricating them, but nothing seems to help. If that happens, you just need to replace the bearings. I've found, it does not seem to compromise the efficiency, or reliability of the motor, but it sure makes a lot of noise. I know that sound well: too well!
Got to love Eddie currents
1:12 UNBELIEVABLE ! ! ! Tamping down THIS coil, it has N O cross-overs. If he would have FANNED out the coil before inserting in the slot it would have F A L L E N with a twist of his wrist? ? ? To ALL of the Motor Winders viewing this video, you have to know this stator is as *** C A K E *** as they come. Average stack, W I D E Slots, EMPTY SLOT 1 - 12 span probably 72 slot 12 groups of (6) and 3 wye connection. Should have stuffed / connected / lashed before lunch. Pre-heat and dipped at 1:00PM after lunch break. LOL... Oooop's I just saw the phase cloth and I was WRONG only 60 slots, even EASIER... Hahahahahaha.
It's a generator. The leads all come out . It is easy but you have to know what your doing. This guy is a good winder/mechanic he has done it for years
به لش پیر تو ریدم اگر فهمیدی جایزه داری
Sir muje Mega wat ke bare m kuch knowledge leni h
400hp? That's a toy....
That was some pretty brutal hammering going on with those coils at the end. Damn. There's no WAY that doesn't occassionally cause a shorted turn in a coil from where two wires were smashed into each other and chipped some insulation off...
what type of starter used here
i ddint see the motor getting dipped in varnish.?r they spraying the varnish or what. iam confused.iam a winder too. i work with kerala water authorty . i have done upto 150 hp motors here. i heat up the whole motor after winding to take out any moisture. then pour vRnish on one side keeping the motor vertical so the varnish oozes out of other side let it dry for one day Nd turn the motor opposite side and pour the varnish and let dry of it. i ddint see any dip/pour varnishing here.the varnishing process should have been shown. any way amazing and interesting video. thanks banglore dudes.
What connection of. That motor bro?
It's a 24 lead in parallel. Meaning 12 leads. Most cats that size are like this
Good vinder me vinder
Was at this show, Eric and his band killed it!!!
where was you ?? you dont look like you was in the crowd lol
I do this job.
I've had this happen on a couple as well. Genuine Schaller, and what happens is the button you pull to unlock it unscrews itself. Not too happy about this.
how could this happen, did you use toothpicks inside the hole?
To slow, in my day 1971 we would have to insert and sew and have it ready to connect leads in 2 hours or less
For everyone asking amps.. It's most likely a 480 volt machine so 135 amps. It's not finished so I can't count the poles but I would guess 1800 RPM (4 pole) and the dude did a fine job installing that coil.
Groups of 5, 1 to 12 span, most likely 60 slot, 12 groups of 5, 4 pole
@@frankmartin6126 You are CORRECT, it's a 60 slot 4 pole and the heading say's 65KW I doubt that, it looks like CAKE 20 HP 1800 RPM and being a generator probably Delta connection. Nothing special here. This stator should have been stuffed 90 minutes or less, then connected and lashed another 90 minutes. You can't hardly get a job this E A S Y to fill the slots. Every winder knows to FAN the coils before you insert into the slot, These are the ones that you wind in your sleep / eyes CLOSED...
yes it is
Cool truck man. Is this the one posted on CL in Keene?
Winding = coil = loop of wire ??
yes they are.
were these real Schaller branded locks? or the " Shcaller type " ones?
Great job by lead vocalist.. I don't say this lightly. Noone beats Ann Wilson's voice for female rock vocalist. Thanks for coming pretty close.. :)
I wound motors back in the 1980, then designed them for several years for Siemens. I am used to seeing winders use mylar feeder papers and a rake. How did that cool that? It doesn't look much bigger than lamination for a USA 286 frame motor.
honestly for a 1 take on a pretty new song I must say this is pretty kick ass. '
NO feeders and seperators not long enough you need more training.
if you need feeders and longer seperators on a job like this then you need more trainig ..
+dennis lowe taking too long to insert one coil many i had that motor wound in 4 hours top.motor probabably only have a 1wye 3 leads connection simple shiet.
Yup actually it was a y delta connection with 12 leads so still simple.
dennis lowe That"s what i call a 1&2 circuit wye delta connection.
What is this, a battle of who's more intelligent in winding and what you know about stators?? You guys really need to get out more often.
This what i call a "GRAVY" job.
there are oil nipples on dat thing
1:36 Hammer time.
can you tell me please how much copper actually went into the whoel winding
What is the name of the company in this video doing this work?
Yes, how many amps please? At what rpm's?
1800 rpm. It's a generator. Probally a 150kw so typically take 1.2 x hp for a 4 pole
as the commentator said yes they do you need to hit the coils down or you will never get the next one down the last varnish secures the whole winding if a motor was not varnish the wires would vibrate and create shorts eventualy blowing up varnishing a motor will keep it working in an ideal enviroment till the end of time.
Man where I work we bend the coils before we put them in and interesting how you use slot covers for the slot phase insulation I guess our rewinder is old school he likes to use the slot insultion paper quite interesting very small core for a 125 hp must of been bloody tight.
