Hey,
I'm an Electrical/Electronic Engineering Student and I like to build projects and tinker with stuff in my free time, which I'll post some of it here.
You can visit my blog RoboroBlog here: roboroblog.wordpress.com/ which will explain whatever each video is about and how I made it.
I also have an Instructables Account which I'll post more "How to's" type of things such as step by step how to build something and that can be found here: www.instructables.com/member/Roboro/

Demonstration of a Simple BCI Using Low Cost EEG Circuit
In this video I show a simple Brain computer interface which is controlled using Alpha waves.
Link to Github: github.com/RonanB96/Low-Cost-EEG-Based-BCI
The BCI has two boxes, one is a "Yes" box and the other a "No" box and can be used to answer simple yes/no questions. The user closes their eyes to increase their alpha wave activity which increases the size of the "Yes" box. Keeping their eyes open will increase the size of the "No" box.
This is just s simple BCI which is used for proof of concept and not a finished . It is adapted from a more complex and not fully functionally BCI which is discussed in this video:

This is a demonstration of my Final Year project for my Electrical/Electronic Engineering Degree. Link to Github: github.com/RonanB96/Low-Cost-EEG-Based-BCI The aim of the project was to build a low cost, EEG based, brain computer interface. I choose to build a keyboard which the user types into by staring at different flashing checker boxes corresponding to the character they want to enter. Th...
Cycflix: Exercise Powered Entertainment
Просмотров 69 тыс.7 лет назад
Now that the cheesy title has pulled you, I'll tell you about the project, it uses a stationary exercise bike connected to an Arduino Nano to control the streaming of Netflix on a PC, I started this project hoping I could get it working on just a Raspberry Pi but ran into a few problems I couldn't overcome which I'll discuss in my Instructables Post. But the main gist of the project at the clic...
Reading Inputs From an Xbox Steering Using Arduino
Просмотров 2,6 тыс.8 лет назад
This is a test circuit to test if I can read in the inputs(steering wheel, pedals and buttons) from an Xbox steering wheel. In this video I'm using an Arduino Uno to read in the analog inputs of the wheel and pedals and displaying these on the serial monitor. I used an Xbox steering wheel as that's what I had at hand but I don't see any reason why any console steering wheel or even any toy whee...
Controlling Robot Over Bluetooth Using Xbox Steering Wheel

Hi please I want to know what is the components name and what role of every one of them can make a video or give me your number to connect you I really need this information for my project and thanks about sharing this with as allot
Hi there Roboro ! I am doing king of the same project for my final degree project and yours is being really usefull. Furthermore I got some quesitons that you might be able to answer if you would like to. Thank you so much !
Hi there mate ! Nice video. I wanted to ask you sthing, I am going to do sthing like your proyect for my TFG in University, so I am a bit lost in how do I have to connect the cables to the Arduino and some stuf like that. It would be nice if you could help me, although this video has already been so. Thank you so much !
Can you provide me more details ? As I am planning to do this project for my medical electronics subject
Hello! I was wondering if you still had this device and if you had it saved anywhere, looking to make pretty much the exact same thing
Can anyone pls tell about the sensors that are used?
May I ask if it’s suitable to use NE5532 as my op amps for my eeg circuit or will there be too much noise still
Can I use any stm 32 ?
Pretty cool!
@Roboro You have done a fabulous job. I am really impressed with your work and have gone through your document. It was great. I have a doubt regarding the circuit ie biopotential simulator. Is it necessary to use it in the project? Have you used it? If yes what is the reason, brother.. Please help me out? Why do we actually use biopotential simulators and how?
I would appreciate your reply... Waiting for that..Thank you
I'm here for the history ! hope to do the same one day
hi
i am also working over that
Your project and your blog are awesome! Please consider continue posting
¿Do you know the cost of actiCAP slim/snap price?
Using BCI technology why not create a halo band headset with EEGs in & bone conduction speakers & you think the message & AI decodes it & passes it on to a second halo headset & speaks out the message in bone conduction speakers.. thought communication… It can be used for people that can’t speak & also as a private 121 communication device..
Just think if this was built & over time pictures & memories.videos could be used on the device..
great work, but how can we classify channels and show?
You are incredible
If this works I want you to know that this has solved a really big problem.
I am like amazed
I am an indian
How do you Can block the conection of the bci with your brain?
Your dog barking 😱
Dope
Fantastic
Thank you Roboro for taking out time in explaining your work. The results are very helpful.
*May I ask what the software being used at **3:31** is..? 🤔 I remember using a similar application (for a remotely similar project) a while back, but I can't (for the life of me) remember exactly what it was called... Any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated!* 😎🙏
Ahh, after reading other comments, it appears that this may have been your own coded software. Have you ever released any open-source or limited distribution versions? 🤔
@@CaptiveReefSystems hi, all the code and schematics can be found on my GitHub, the code for the visualisation is here github.com/RonanB96/Low-Cost-EEG-Based-BCI/blob/master/Alpha%20BCI/eegScope.py
Any updates?
Hi sir someone make aplication for calibrate steering wheel using arduino, how to make the aplication sir?
Hey Ronan, i made the schematic you posted on your github, but LT Spice is showing an error " analysis failed matrix is singular". I mailed you the schematic i made on LT Spice at ronanbyrne791@gmail.com . Could you please help me Ronan?! It would mean a lot
Hey Roboro great job, i am building my own 6 channel DIY EEG too i have made the schematic with the instrumentational amplifier and all the filters which are connected to an Arduino then to my laptop. But i have no idea how to analyse the EEG signal with an Arduino, Can you please help me? Do you know anything about it?
I think they’ve recently updated Arduino IDE and there’s now a serial plotter which plots the voltage continuously real time
reference height arduino I want to know my room floor level how much height from other room in which video solution
How can I upload this code to stm? and which type of stm board is used here?
Ali G! No... seriously this is a cool project. Have you trained a NN to recognize the phases?
Thanks! No I never got around to doing any improvements sadly but the code and circuit is on my GitHub in the description if you would like to give it a try
@@Roboro ok maybe I will do that. I just bought myself a dreem 2 and am trying it out. It would be nice to create a more open source version with a lower price tag.
thanks a lot!!
Im here because of the book of James Clear "Atomic Habits"
As am I
So do I!
Me too
Same
Same!!!
Brilliant!
if don't found stm32f303k8 can me use arduino uno ?
No, this code won't work on an arduino, you would have to rewrite everything
@@Roboro please can help me to do it ?
@@Roboro i think it's have just serial problem ?
This is fake! Were is library need to run code? Where class Timer_Handle? Where <Energia.h> Error.h>BIOS.h> anf a.e....
Nice work
hi please to explain me a letter about first and second part in schematic *biopotencial simulator* and *protection circuit* thank you
Can you please upload the circuit diagram! I was unable to find it in your GitHub page.
Here is the link to the schematic on my github github.com/RonanB96/Low-Cost-EEG-Based-BCI/blob/master/Circuit/EEG_sch.pdf
hello i want control led by eeg can help me ?
Awesome video, thank you so much for showing us!! Would it be possible to connect more electrodes?
Hi, ı wanna ask u sth. My circuit is ready to run but I don't know which wire using for brain waves, and which electrode. Could you tell me what kind of things are they. where can i find electrodes and wires. i couldn't make electrode at home. Could u help me, please?
do you have pictures of the breadboard exactly Great work
Sorry I don't have any pictures of the breadboard but the circuit diagram is on my github in the description if that helps. I built it on one breadboard but I'd suggest two as it ws very tight to fit everything in
Please suggest me which electrode to buy.... so that i need not to connect extra wires.... I want V+ and ground... to be amplified by instrumentation amplifier Please reply.... thanks in advance
For this circuit you will need the 3 electrodes but if you are using a different circuit you could make the electrodes like I did which are shown in the video or buy some cup electrodes, these can be expensive though. If you just want ecg or emg, you can use standard ecg pads which are cheap
Perhaps you can add a average filter over a interval of +- 1 sec, it won't be as fast but you can tune the levels for which value it needs to select much better and it will be more stale. this tuning you can see like this, when your eyes are open No is selected >80% of the time, when closed No is selected <70% of the Time, you can calculate those values on the start of the program or in a calibration if it needs to work for (almost)everyone and use the average measured value combinations and calculate from those values towards the other combination until you are just a given hysterese distance from the center of the 2.
please send git hub link this one is not working
but now whenever u wanna workout on your bike, u condition urself to turn on netflix lol
