You will not get 82 miles from this van, they only charge to 80% which gives you 60 miles ish, I took mine to VW complaining that it will not fully charge. They checked it and they said it’s working fine and also said they are only getting 60 miles on a full charge from there van they have there. The 85 miles is a myth. If you do 60 miles or less a day then it’s perfect. If you need to do more then it’s not the van for you. 100% honest feed back, I’ve had this van for a month now.
3 seats, paying people an hour to charge the van. Leaving at 5am for an early site induction, now I have to set off at 4am to charge the van half way. Need to get the range up to 200 miles for anyone that uses motorways, as a minimum. Great for trades that work local only.
You’re right, as a launch into electric it is only really usable by local trades. That said, there should be an option to add a a battery in the coming months that will double the range. Thanks for the feedback
