WAS a lot better living in Blue Ash circa 1950 through 1980. A REAL small town, where everyone knew everyone, teeming with local family restaurants. When Ted and Besse opened Blue Ash Chili it was a real hit! I won the Coney Eating contest finishing off 14 cheese coneys! at age 14, when BA Chili first opened a Coney cost .39 CENTS! Crawford pharmacy sold 33 1/3 records and Beatle posters. Hosbrook's Car Repair was reliable, the corner Gulf checked your oil and tires anytime you bought gas. Attended Blue Ash Elem School on the corner of Cooper and Kenwood waiting all year for the most awesome 4TH of July and more carnivals. Friendly Local Police at Kenwood and Myrtle Rd's. Most what is seen in this video didnt even exist and wasnt needed. Blue Ash, Ohio truly did have everything and anything any Middle Class American family could ever want. Back then Kenwood Road was gravel, my grandmother rode we kids around on her cart pulled by the neighbors goat! THOSE TRULY WERE THE DAYS.

These high crime areas are mostly black. Where I’m at in Cincy crime is very low and kids can play outside without having to worry about getting shot at but is also mainly white. Stay out of downtown and you’ll be fine.

I FINALLY have the chance (it's complicated, leaving a pet that needs special care at home with relatives,) to get back to my wonderful hometown for a visit. Leaving Baltimore on the train to Cincy tomorrow morning and arriving in the wee hours of Saturday morning. 😅 (I love trains; what can I say?) Staying for a few days. I can't wait to once more enjoy a Skyline cheese coney or two, and I can never leave my hometown without a malted from United Dairy Farmers. We never said "UDF" when I was growing up in Cincinnati... I'm not looking for a house during my visit, sadly - but I wish I were! Re: hills - there was one hill that really got to me once I started driving as a teen. I can't recall if it was the Benson Street hill or Columbia Avenue hill. Steep! Going down felt a little treacherous, and it was imperative to shift to a lower gear. I just watched your video and im not trying to be rude, but your tone of your voice sounds like you dont like doing this. It seem like you're bored, or you're doing this video because you're being forced to. You should be happier and peppier like other real estate agents are. I live in Las Vegas and i started to look in Cincinnati because i heard it's affordable. Hope it becomes a reality because Vegas has become too expensive because of Californians

Mason is a really good place to live. The places I visit the most are LifeTime (fancy gym with rock climbing, pickleball and basketball courts, indoor and outdoor pools, etc), Wall2Wall (soccer), Kings Island (amusement park) and different parks with trails

I moved from Dayton to Cleveland beautiful city but it's not safe and a lot more people are mentally insane but beautiful Lake Erie makes it worth plus it's like a country New York City just take time to look around before moving anywhere

I love Cincinnati so much, I moved out. 30-40 years ago, it was a nice place. Not so much anymore If you have to move to that area, do yourself a favor and stay out of Hamilton county.

I've only visited Florida twice and (forgive me, Florida lovers, but - ) I hated it! I'd take beautiful Cincinnati with its luscious Autumn and Spring seasons any day!

Really great video! I’m from Cleveland, born and raised. The crime grade isn’t surprising. There are a lot of youth related crimes and gang activity which most times involves specific ppl but impacts all. I feel safe for the most part but am careful just like everywhere else. The metroparks are ah-mazing… all of them are unique. I really enjoy Cincy as well!! Love what each city has to offer. Check out the corned beef sandwich… that along with the polish boy are two food staples!

There is a few reasons these neighborhoods are the way they are .one main reason is drugs the next is low income housing the next is the type of ppl that live there!

I'm from Cincinnati and have been living in Florida for a little over a decade. Relocated for a job opportunity. I don't miss the extreme cold temperatures and ice during the winter months, and the moody weather where it can be freezing in the morning, raining in the afternoon, and burning up by the evening in Cincinnati, but I do miss the vibe, the architecture, the grass (yes, Florida grass is different and not in a good way,) the food and the higher intelligence. I know it sounds elitist, but I have met too many "not so bright" people here, and let's not even get into the political mess that's wrapped up in religious dogma. If I return to the tristate, it would probably be in the northern KY area, but Florida is just not a great place to be for some of us. If you don't like a lot of change, love the ocean and beaches, are super conservative and not big on higher education, then this may be the place for you. The healthcare is not the best, either. There's also no southern charm, here. Florida is not the south. It's just disguised as such! LOL! The customer service is poor unless you're in the Publix grocery store, and there is always a scam or someone trying to get over by messing with gift cards in the stores, putting "sliders" at gas stations, or online lying on the nextdoor app about some unfortunate tragedy or sob story, when in fact they just need funds for their drug habit. It's harder to get a good education here in the public school system as well, as their standards seem lower as far as what is academic excellence, and they always seem a little behind the times in regard to fashion and the arts, unless you're in Miami or Tampa. Our home value has tripled since living here, and though that's not a bad thing per se, it shows just how inflated the housing market is right now. There are hardly any homes available for sale, and the builders are making apartments, townhouses, and condos everywhere, cutting down important animal habitats to acomodate all of these new people who are moving here. It's just not my cup of tea, and truly makes me appreciate home. Though Cincinnati is far from perfect, the good definitely outweighs the bad.

Why do people think there's so much more to do in Cincinnati? I've lived in both multiple times and currently live in Dayton and work in Cincinnati. Like, do ya'll go to museums every single day? Lol sure there's more museums in Cincinnati. But in terms of restaurants, bars, etc. the only thing Cincinnati has that Dayton doesn't is night clubs. And honestly, if you're older than 27 you should probably get a life haha.

Nah they putting up new homes but nothing has changed in the community, landlords not vetting their tenants completely, before the new neighbors next door moved in our street was pretty quiet and respectful with professional workers from nurses to business owners, Now they have put it back on the map as being hood/ghetto

Let me say this and anytime I have an appointment with the doctor or provider it's always sunny I'm like why is it I told one doctor why is it every time I come to see you it's a sunny day last appointment was not a sunny day thank you Jesus but I will go out and walk in the Sun at 40° temperature as long as it ain't Wendy as long as that sun is shining bright it don't bother me I lived in Wisconsin for 10 years I lived in Maine for 10 years so this ain't cold back during the big pandemic of covid-19 during the height of it at one provider's office you had to stand outside because the inside was packed and you got to be 640 away from everybody and they asked me David since you're not from around here and you use that cold I said yes I will go stand outside besides I smoke so I can go outside and smoke but these clouds man what God take them away for a while give me some days where I don't have no appointments no obligations to do and let me go walking in the morning and in the afternoon during the Spring and Summer and early fall if it's sunny out I'll go walk in the morning at noon and in the evening if it's warm at night I'll go walking over midnight I have to walk mainly because I started walking for the Sun for a tan that I've never had I've had some poisoning when I was a kid so I've always stayed away from the Sun but I'm like F it i want a tan. But for the first time since drug addicts prevent me from getting the medication I have to walk at least 30 minutes every day to keep getting pain medication in the 27 years I've been giving getting pain medication actually I went from 2018 to 2022 without any medication for pain at all except for ibuprofen now I can't take it because I had a real bad episode of acid reflux for a whole night it just everything coming up so I stopped taking ibuprofen and I said no more ibuprofen but I don't have a problem getting drug tested because I don't do drugs I do what I'm prescribed that way I can keep on getting my prescriptions screw that up and you don't get it anymore ever so I'm not screwing that up I also don't believe because your dad or your mother was an alcoholic you had the same gene bologna I can't drink alcohol I'm allergic to it besides my medications say do not drink alcohol I watched my dad I don't need to repeat that that's for sure but other than that it's all right to live here don't get me on politics because that's a different story I've always said to everybody your vote because it counts give me kennel a popular vote but when the president is Not Elected by the popular vote it don't really count not when your state delegates all go to one party you know should be right down the middle on the the delegates 50% delicate on one side and the other 50 to the other side but there is a plan I forget what it's called one of President Clinton's economic guys came up with it if enough States tried to Tri-State pack that's what it's called Tri-State pack where enough states that will sign the agreement that whoever wins the popular vote their electoral votes go to that person who wins the popular vote so if an update sides on it to reach 270 boom I'm sorry to get political in here I just I'm passionate about it and I think we need to do away with the Electoral College because it does not work for people like me at the bottom of the ladder it only works for the 10% at the top and trickle down economics don't work

I moved here to Clermont County in Monroe Township back in 2020 it was my only option when you have fixed income and no money to do anything with when someone opens up their home to you you take it yes I found it online on Facebook and yes I've been here now 5 years and it's been okay I just don't like the clouds every day I asked Microsoft co-pilot why is it so cloudy here in Amelia Ohio and it said because you're near the Great Lakes no I'm not I'm over 400 me 300 Mi away from the Great Lakes how could that be affecting me you're also in the valley no I'm not there are no mountains around me so how in the world can I be in a valley a valley is the diff between two mountains where it comes down boom your Valley there's no mountains around here now when I go towards Georgetown that's a different story you go up the big hill to get to Georgetown but other than that I don't see no mountains I need the sun I have to have the Sun but now the same situation I ain't got no money to move anywhere so I'm stuck it's the same to I get more state benefits here than I did in any other state yes I'm on disability so I get benefits thank you I paid my money in taxes so I get it I qualified for it I still pay taxes I pay sales tax and I pay the biggest taxes of all gas taxes do I do have the right to say and I do vote so I have the right to complain about that too

I walked through all of Cincinnati comfortably at any time of day. Its how you carry yourself. Only areas i absolutely would not walk through at night are Walnut Hills and Evanston. Maybe some parts of Bond Hill and Roselawn after a certain time. Things get a dicey over there

I am surprised that South Fairmont is not on the list. Seems like it is constantly on the local news for shootings.
