The video titled "Pfuma yedu minamato..." is of the Holy Spirit teacheing us that our treasure is in our prayers. Every time we pray and praise the Almighty, we are adding to our treasure trove of love and unity between us and God. The video is from our Misi mitatu prayer gathering in April 2024 in Rusape, Zimbabwe. The Holy Spirit teaches us in this sermon that although when we pray it seems like our prayers go unanswered but it is how we pray that needs to be examined. Knowing how you pray is very important (individually and collectively). There is a way in which Moses prayed which caused the sea to part. There is a way which Noah prayed and he built the ark. There is a way of prayer which Abraham followed which made him become God's friend. So it is how you pray. Learn to pray how God wants you to. But which is truly the way of praying... Pray like you are the loving Father in Heaven and His greatness will manifest through you. This also must be examined... The verse "Tichamira naIsaka pakufa" allegorically describes how we will sacrifice ourselves for this mission of the Almighty till death. This is a resoundingly resolute declaration of faith in Yahweh. The Holy continues and says God already knows what you need before you even let Him know in prayer but what He looks for in you is your faith. What, then is faith? Faith is acknowledging that you have received that which has not yet physically manifested itself. Because God is a God of promise, all that is needed from the promised people, is FAITH. God remembers you. He has never changed and has never forgotten His covenant with you. So pray in that promised to Abraham, Issac and Jacob. The Holy Spirit continues and says that the promised people should not live their lives with illness and suffering. Illness and suffering are things we manifest in ourselves because of faith expressed negatively. If one denounces illness and suffering, these things WILL NOT happen. It is the same with aging. You can manifest aging in a beautiful way or not at all... Thus, faith is key. Have faith like our patriarch Abraham who had faith that he will have a covenant son after many years who will father a nation. Even Abraham's wife Sarah did not believe and pointed to Hagar who birthed Ishmael. But Ishmael was not of the covenant. So covenant is another element that matters. When you pray, your prayers should reflect knowledge of this covenant. This is the covenant between God and His chosen. Answers to prayers come based on whether we reflected understanding of our covenant with the Almighty. You could waste many years praying but not knowing how you pray and what you are praying for. If your understanding of the covenant is not clearly defined within you, then no prayer coming from you will ever reach God. This is why others can pray for an hour and receive blessings quickly compared to the one who prays for days without understanding and receives no answers.
