I spent a while trying to photograph these beautiful Purple Martins in flight and it is always a challenge. No doubt new cameras have much faster and better auto focus systems but practice is really necessary to sharpen the hand eye coordination to find the birds in the middle of the viewfinder. I enjoyed my time observing and photographing these beautiful birds on these last two early mornings of 2023. The sound the swans make when in flight is amazing. Thank you for watching. The latest hurricanes and the work that followed were devastating to this area, this is the first time I saw skimmers since then so hopefully things are returning to a more natural state.
