That was a real pleasure! Especially the last part where I walked in (via yr camera) to the rear entrance of The Alexandra Hotel- that took me back to when we stayed there quite a bit of time ago I the eighties. I thought your actual filming was very good - excellent clarity and imaginative shots especially the one on Monmouth Beach in between the boats when the Cobb and the Aquarium suddenly came into view! Beautiful. That's how a town should look. Our postmodern architecture has ruined most of the rest of the country and it's not just aesthetics. The buildings they've put up over the past 80-90 years aren't physically/mentally good for us, even though they claim the exact opposite.

Most of the Portland Limestone used to rebuild London after the Great Fire of September, 1666, was shipped out from the port of Swanage. The narrow-gauge railway tracks seen running along the quayside were used for this purpose during the 19th Century. It's a shame that British Rail closed the branch railway line from Wareham to Swanage in 1972 as the main road through the Isle of Purbeck gets very busy during the Summer Holidays!

And on the way back from London, several old buildings were brought back as ballast and rebuilt. The Town Hall and tower near the lifeboat station plus many street bollards for example.
