@simonrussell77 the only tuning plugins are just that... tuners.. lol and coming from a musician/ musical standpoint it should be tuned at the start before you even start recording 😂especially guitars and drums 😎bass guitars included along with any other instruments out there excluding the piano as that is already tuned 99% of the time lol unless you have an older piano/ grand piano or anything else similar etc.. however if referring to changing the pitch to match the desired taste or the goal that's already been recorded then auto tune is meh.. not the most ideal thing to do, but most D.A.W's (digital audio workstations for those non musicians and audio engineers out there) have built in or third party plugins to mess with the pitch of the recorded audio and for me i use Melodyne in the D.A.W known as Presonus Studio One and that thing is ridiculously crazy as it can turn and change the pitch of everything perfectly as well as the timing and that's just the free version for after you purchase the D.A.W to begin with of course and don't get me started on the upgraded paid version dear lord and its not cheap either lmao XD but for my purposes i don't need the paid version as the free version does more than enough anyways that should cover most of this topic anyways and just read the part of bad audio you had stated/ mentioned. So, for that part, there is no point in fixing bad audio as it is next to impossible to do that and should be fixed at the start which makes everything a heck of a whole lot easier to put/ mix /glue together for a massive final product cheers my friend! :) P.S if you have no choice in fixing bad audio and you actually do need something from that audio clip and or recording then you have to kind of plan the basic tips/ strategies/ and tools and have an idea of a start, middle, and end in back tracking as well as catching up/ patching up to what the previous recording artist/ person/ or source of where you got it from failed to do unless they did it intentionally but either way a headache its possible but more so next to impossible just depends how you go about it cheers my friend! 😎 @simonrussell77 lastly this just crossed my mind while im here.. if anyone is trying to fix or patch up major audio work, then it should be done in a D.A.W as thats where all the surgical procedures take place and of course that is one of the many purposes of a D.A.W but there shouldn't be any major repair work done as that should be all taken care of at the source/ the start that way you wont have to go through a headache to use x amount of tools to fix one problem when there are 99/ 9000/ 99999 other small things to attend to lol anyways victor wooten said it best in one aspect and ill just summarize it " #All #These #Plugins #Are #Tools #And #I #Shouldnt #Have #To #Use #Them #Unless #I #Need #To #Like #Driving #A #Car #I #Shouldnt #Have #To #Use #A #Lug #Wrench #To #Change #Out #A #Flat #Tire #Unless #Needed " 😂 with that im sure you get the point anyways cheers lol :)

@@LanceSlash Both are great and can do basically anything you could ever want! I can vouch for Logic and say it has some of the best stock plugins in the game; and almost nobody would disagree with that!

I've never used dynassist but I do love soothe for very specific uses; however I can definitely live without it... I just wouldn't want to haha!
