Great video thanks! 1 question: Could you easily combine say a Rhino 30 with a Kriega 20? Does the strap system interchange for a combined load?
Thank you, useful comparison. The strap connectors on my Kriega US20 are all failing, tearing loose where they are sewn to the bag after about 5 thousand miles of use strapped to the pillion seat on my bike. Disappointing for the price.
For longer rides (1000+ miles) that one may experience rain, I am trying to do a bit of research. Keep my contents dry without skipping a mortgage payment is important.
Thank you so much for the detailed comparison! The Kriega, obviously, is a better "engineered" bag and Kriega stands behind its products with a decade long warranty. This is obviously reflected in the pricing. In defense of the Rhinowalk, even Kriega doesn't claim the outer pocket to be waterproof (it's water resistant). Thanks again for outlining the differences, it's a great help!

Okay so I've gotta ask - Those gorgeous brown shoes, what are they?? PS - Good comparison video.
When i go camping and use a rucsac, even though its waterproof, i still use inner dry sack bags, just wondering if you do, or do just pack it without separate dry sack bags ??
I ride and I’m interested in Luggage but I just happened upon your video. You do such a nice job. You really should do some more. Nce video by the way.
Kriega all day everyday. The thickness of the material & buckles is way better quality & the Kriega bag is pretty water resistant without waterproof liner so jeeps stuff bone dry. Also can add other Kriega bags like the US 10L bags to the US 20L & 20L to the 30L etc & OS bottle bag & also the Kriega OS 12L & OS 18L bag to the US 20L US 30L.Kriega also do a US 40L bag that can compress to 28L & opens at both ends & has a pocket for tent poles.Kriega bags are better fir motorcycles & are so versatile with other Kriega bags. They do cost more but you pay for quality.
lets put it this way, the Rinowalk is more than adequate 90% of the times and the Kriega doesn't justify it's super high price tag
The big difference is that the Kriega has a legitimate 10 year warranty, but for most people the Rhinkwalk will be more than adequate (as you mentioned)
@@GoodkatNW 10 Year warranty on wear and tear due to use o falls? Dont think so.
@@c.g.c2067 That's not at all what I said. It would cover things like a broken clasp, zippers, stitches coming undone, etc. I got a 40L on discount, and after dozens of offroad trips the second primary clasp broke. They sent me a brand new one, free of charge (even though the current one was beat to shit)
hey there, can u make a installation video for rhinowalk? i bought one of this but im looking for installation video :) i want to use single back bag
The rhinowalk straps loosens after riding some distance and my bag was just hanging on one strap! very dangerous!
Thank you for the review. Very helpful.
So in the end, is the Kriega bag worth the price difference?
that nolan is deffo the smallest.
Very well made video thanks a lot! After watching your wonderful comparison video one question comes to my mind. Could it be that the Rhinowalk bag is the 30l version? How come it is exactly the same size as the 30l Kriega bag?
Hi, thanks for the feedback I appreciate it. That’s a sensible question - I scratched my head over that too. On the order and the ticketing, the Rhino was definitely a 20L. I have also borrowed a 30L Kriega from my brother-in-law and it is noticeably bigger again than the Rhino 20L.
I understand! Thanks a lot for clarifying. Now i am not sure which size to get... i gues i will order both and send back the one which does not suit my needs!
How's the kriega holding up?
Tish....you spoke New Zealander ! Say agin, again. Nice review 👍
Good review and I think one important part is to compare noise/wind isolation aswell. I have a Caberg Duke II and it is probably the most affordable helmet in this genre. 5 stars in Sharp testning aswell. If I would improve something in my helmet it is especially sound isolation. And for that I think you need to get a more premium priced one sadly.
Thank you for your evaluation of the bags. This was very useful for me. Also nice to hear your New Zealand voice. It reminded me of my two sea kayak trips in New Zealand. Good memories.
been a Kriega users from 20L(warranty claimed) to 30L(unused) Drypacks and R3 Waistbag(deteriorating at the moment LOL) and a R22 backpack. The only thing that justifies the price is their 10 year warranty. Yes its more robust in the beginning but will still degrade in few year you'll end up tired of claiming warranty. I love their backpacks but for motorcycle bags, I think Rhinowalk's with your stuff in ziplocks is as good as Kriega's waterproofing and is better than nothing. cheers.
✔️👍
Thank you 4 this deep comparison!
Great review. Definitely needed this as I'm trying to deliberate on which of the two to purchase. I think I'll just do exactly what you. Get the Rhinowalk for now then save up for the Kreiga. Thank you
El seguro de apertura de la mentonera es metalico o plástico?
I made this comparison also. The kriga is definitely better. But the price difference... I now own the rhinowalk.
Excellent work, thanks for the effort, its really helped me. I'm going in on the rhinowalk as the money saving is too tempting. I have a kriega 20 as a tail pack, and it's good, but not 'waterproof ' still have to have an extra drybag inside for safety.
Hard to hear the price difference. Nice to add titles when discussing details.
217 nz dollars for Kriega and 72 nz dollar for Rhino
Im torn between the two - so that was very useful, thank you. Kreiga for me - hang the expense. The quality will be enjoyed long after the sting of the purchase price is forgotten.......lol
Thanks for an excellent review!
Great comparison review, ive had the caberg duke & for the price it was a great helmet, the liner was very well made & i had washed it many times, mechanism also worked faultless after many years, im in the process of replacing it with something more premium, i have been looking at the nolan & the shoei in your review, i was going to buy the shoei, im now not sure as the Nolan now looks in my favour......😊
Well done, god info, subbed.
Coming from Malaysia, most of biking accessories are really expensive, especially when the price has been converted to Malaysian Riinggit and + the taxes involved. Often I had to resort to Chinese knock-off brands than the real deal since I love the design and practicality of that certain models. The thing I can comment is out of 10 products I bought, 8 failed. And for the authentic ones 10 i bought, about two failed. So better save some money and get the real deal.
Rhinowalk's from China. That on its own should be a dealbreaker.
Kreiga are also made in china
@@Theorangeman.Kreiga is made in China but Rhinowalk is a Chinese company based in Shenzhen and as the video already hinted they basically ripped off the Kreiga design and use cheaper materials and cut corners like how the buckles are not double reinforced that’s why they are so much cheaper. Rewarding companies which ripoff designs is not being a smart consumer in the long run.
@Theorangeman.my revit kriega backpack is made in Vietnam lol
So just to add the rhinowalk is like $60 USD right now add a kriega inner liker for $23 USD and you got yourself a waterproof bag for half the price
no won't work cause 1 is velcroed in and is smaller and the other is zipped in, it wouldn't be waterproof
Thank you for a very thorough and eye opening review. I was looking at both options but waterproofing is vital for me! I’ve hit subscribe and Will share your channel among friends 👍🏼
Thank you very much for this unique comparison side by side. I really couldn't find this info on the Internet
Very informative, thanks!
What is the Rhinowalk model?
This compare is everything I’ve needed, you’re a hero! I’m a large in Shoei, am I luge in cabarga or do you think I could squeeze into an M? I’m 59cm around
Glad you liked the review! Helmet size and shape is so important and individual that I wouldn’t want to comment on what would work for someone else. What I can say is that these three helmets, I’m a size S across them all. Best of luck with your choice!
@@spannerworks2709 thanks and thanks again for the great compare. Would you say the cabarga size guide is close enough? Doesn’t run too small or big? For you? Unfortunately I have to order online without trying and no free returns from Japan…
I’m 55cm, and the Caberg size S (55-56) is a good fit on me.
@@spannerworks2709 ok, thanks a lot. All the best
🙌Thank you for testing
Great review. The waterproof failure seems like a dealbreaker. I’d rather pay more for that level of security during the rain.
I’ve not regretted the upgrade, it’s sturdier and the fabric is standing up to daily wear and tear better. Appreciate that we all have different financial considerations, so it’s great to have options that achieve a similar function.
Are you using this as tank bag or tail bag?
as a tail bag :)
Just shows the gross profit margin of Kriega must be 80% 😅
you do realize the material that is used in the two bags are different aye
Great information
ok but Kriega costs 6 times more
So does probably most of your stuff. It's a small price to pay to ensure your belongings are safe.
It may be but what price do you put on the items inside.
The price difference is too much. A light weight dry bag will keep all the items dry. Good comparison. ...
Thank you for the excellent review. What I gather is that for someone who doesn't really care about water protection, the rhinowalk is a resonable solution. The kriega is better overall and apparently specifically better when it comes to wet. The rhinowalk has a small edge in terms of storage with their 20L carrying somewhere between Kriega's 20 and 30. I just thought I'd throw it out there that for someone who is dead-set on saving money but wants even better than the Kriega waterproofing reliability an option would be to buy a Kriega replacement liner (presumably the US30) and put it inside the liner of the Rhinowalk. Not sure if the correct move there would be the Kriega US20 liner ($18) or the US30 ($23).
Hey! Great summary. For function, they both work. I’m doubtful about liner interchangeability, as the bags are essentially different shapes - diameter and length. But you could just pop inside stuff in a plastic bag, or get a water resistant backpack cover for the whole thing.
@@spannerworks2709 Do you still have both these bags? If there's a chance the liners are compatible that would be beyond amazing. Even if theyre not compatible, it probably wouldn't be too hard to sew a zipper onto a better quality drybag and try it with the rhinowalk. I have a couple coming in the mail, might be worth a try.
Hey there, cool review. You said you had a waterproofing failure.... for how long were you riding in the rain and was it heavy rain?
Hi, thanks for the feedback and the question. My commute is 30 mins and it would have been fairly heavy rain. The inside would be fine in a drizzle, but wouldn’t rely on the outside pocket to be very water resistant.
@@spannerworks2709 ok I have a US20 plus a Rinowalk 30L and yup Kreiga in general make top quality luggage. So all you can really do with the Rinowalk in heavy rain is to put contents in a waterproof roll sack then put all of that in the Rinowalk. Rinowalk luggage is way cheaper to buy than Kreiga so it seems like the waterproofing is one area where it falls down
@@ljack383 Yes, a plastic bag costs pennies.
Thank you for posting your review. I'm looking to get a set as well, its good to hear feedback from a real consumer
Just take the bag off before washing?
