This is the best album closer for any album for real. I listen to this song on repeat when I am mowing my lawn. Gets me into the speed, making me complete my mowing work in almost 40ish minutes.

Yes I know the bass is not audible at the remastered version but the point of the remastering is to make the songs sound better as they are and not to completely change the overall feeling of the album If the bass was turned up it would have changed the whole album’s characteristic sound …just my opinion tho

Perhaps you should have purchased Zwei...one to keep in mint condition(unopened) and Eine to be able to open and explore? But either way you are one of the fortunate few who picked up an collectors item before they disappeared. I would tip my hat to you but my bald spot might blind you🙂

The original S&M version is one of the best things Metallica will ever do. I still remember the night I first heard it in November 99, and it was one of the greatest Nights in with Music Ive had. This is very interesting. The original song is in standard tuning, so hearing the Orchestra up a notch from its original pitch with the live version is really cool. It doesnt overcrowd things, and ebbs and flows in and out nicely. One of my all time favourite pieces of music in Metal is at 5.23. That riff pattern always worked so well with the live orchestra, and Im really enjoying it alongside the album version here! I really liked this- thank you and well done for putting it together.

Man this takes me back. I remember one of my friends in middle school had this pressing. This was around 2001, before high speed Internet and everything, so it was mysterious because the rest of us had the second pressing with the different tracks and slightly different artwork on the CD itself. We'd all go over to his house to listen to/look at this version onstantly.

86 is close enough to 84 to make this feel more like Fade to Black. Excellent stuff.
