Twinshock C - Race 3 - Devon Classic 01/09/2024
Only managed to film one race this time - broke my mount putting the gopro on the bars before first practice and didn't get a chance to sort it until the lunch break, after completing first two races.
Bit of rain in the across the morning and watering day before made it curiously slippy in some places, and grippy elsewhere.
Brakes considerably better after lots of work, but just not bike fit and back into the groove, hence going very backwards after the reasonable start!
Ended 18th in this race, combined with 21 in race 1 and 20 in race 2 gave an overall result of 20th in Twinshock C, out of 31 riders. Fairly quick group again - A & B groups were combined into one race of 30 riders, so essen...

Maico Electrex Strobe Ignition Test

Testing the ignition point on a 1980 440 Maico fitted with the external flywheel Electrex Ignition. Flywheel is marked with a black stripe at the 0° point, and the three indicator positions above show 21° BTDC (initial setup point), 10° BTDC and TDC respectively from left to right. Finished 4th in race 1, DNF race 2, and 32 in race 3, giving an overall group result of 28/41 riders. If I'd been able to restart in race 2 and finish in a similar manner to race 3, would have gone up approx 5 places in final results.

Exploits in Twinshock C during the 2023 Devon Classic Badger Goss Trophy Scramble on 9th April. C was actually the second of 4 Twinshock groups, with a combined A/B group the only quicker group on the day, and this certainly felt more like a B group than a C! Terrible start in the first race and a bit of battling with an unfortunate clash near the start, entirely unintended!

Well, you got faster as that race went on!
Good one...but you need to either get the holeshot or some tear-offs for the camera! Gives an idea of just how tricky those bikes can be on a slippery surface

So which class does the winner actually win this Nigel Revell Trophy then.
So, is there an actual trophy to be won is it just called the Nigel Revell trophy meeting.
A proper "classic" course, very similar to "McKee Sky Ranch" in the USA.
