Minimonkey is a Dutch brand, based in Amsterdam, founded by Margot Visser. Since 2007, Minimonkey has had a global focus on the development, production and sale of innovative baby products, with distribution partners in over 35 countries

The challenge for me is always to launch a product on the market that doesn’t exist, and which makes things for parents and children a little bit easier. Developing a product is often accompanied by months of frustration, and every now and then a ‘Eureka!’ moment. Fortunately, there are also products that I have managed to get onto the shelves in no time. The Minichair is a good example of this. The idea came to me one morning out of nowhere. Within a week, I had a sample that was so good that the product could go into production immediately. The Minichair is now our bestseller worldwide.

When is hip carry okay? 😊
As soon as you prefer carrying on your hip ;-) Make sure that the head of the baby is well supported until the baby can support its own head.

The sling is cutting into my baby’s leg because the weight is not held by the cloth of the bag but by the sling itself. What am I doing wrong?
You'll have to hang the baby with the knees in the sling first (at point 1:12 of the instruction video) with the upper legs higher than the bottom, before pulling up the fabric. Do you understand what I mean?
i cant get it to fit me (size xl) even though i loosened the strap and because of that it becomes too tight to get a baby in because of boobs in the way, how can you make it hang a little bit lower (loosen it)

Am I the only mom that's finding that with the mess version the circulation of the legs gets cut off? There's a very weird flimsy padded lining for where the baby's legs hang, but it's fairly hard to get in position and it's not very effective

Please make sure you wear the waist band high, just under your breasts, in order to get the babies positioned in the m-position more easily.
@@johannabaer its gotten better with age unfortunately now that its actually working one week later and they are too big for the carrier! My best solution is to have help and also try to pull fabric out and away as much as possible before they get in. my girls are 5mo but on the bigger side. i'm now looking for a new option since we hike every week.

No, in the Mini Sling you can only were your baby in an upright position. It can be used as of birth.

are you not going to provide better quality instruction video and.... a voice to detail the instruction?
I believe this was made for short distances and travels. Not for wearing a 10kg baby for more than half an hour I would say. But good for going in and out of a plane for example as it will not take half of your carry on space.

Hi minimonkey, can it be adjusted so the baby not bent? I know it looks comfy and my daughter is sleeping so well, but seeing her body shape bent like that makes me worry about her spinal cord. What is the correct position, the body and face facing my body, or upwards like regular sleeping position (which resulted in the body being bent)?
Hi Remielle, thank you for your message. You need to make sure that the bottom of your baby is in the lowest part of the pouch (so not the back). In this way the baby is laying straight -> back and head one line without bending. On the following page (www.minimonkey.com/en/product/baby-carriers/sling-classic-4-in-1/) you can see a picture of a young baby lying in the correct way -> picture of the TOP TIP. You can always send us (info@minimonkey.nl) a picture and then we can advise you whether you wear it correctly or give you some tips. Thanks, Margot

+mixalis Yes you can also carry him with the legs outside the baby carrier. If he cannot spread his legs wide, you can open the zippers. As soon as he can spread his legs, you can carry him with closed zippers.

Uninformative, how old are the babies! Why isn't there any audio or commentary?
Unlike this doll, my baby has a flexible neck and its own wight causes its neck to bend and head to tip all the way forward onto its chest, and i cannot find a position that will not do this, so i have to support its back with one arm. Also the head being the heavier part seems to naturally want to slide down away from the edge. Nonetheless it does seem to help settle the baby, even if the the first few minutes seem frantic and unhappy!

What is really important is that you put the baby diagonally with the head against the outside (!!) rail (so not in the middle of the pouch), close to the shoulder cushion and the legs towards you. Hope this will help you and if not, please sent a picture of how you carry the baby to info@minimonkey.nl. Then I can give you some tips.
Minimonkey Yes moving onto more of a diagonally has made a big difference. Thank you! She still gets upset to start with but then settles in less then 2-5 minutes and goes to sleep.
