I remember hearing him on the radio. And all the buzz about this kid. I don't know where I actually saw him play (not live), but he was mind-blowing. The sound coming out of this young guy was absolutely Amazing! A child prodigy? Although I think Johnny started playing at 12. As for his voice, I took a few singing lessons back in the day and the first and most important thing to learn is to breathe from the diaphragm. Otherwise the singing is coming from the vocal cords and they can strain easily. I remember reading that Tom Jones, after he became popular, had to relearn how to sing because he was starting to strain his voice. Brian Johnson of ACDC, don't know how he hasn't lost his voice altogether. Saw him being interviewed and he could hardly talk. He and the ADCD gang though, are on tour again. Go figure. If what they've been doing for the past decade is any indication, i really can't see them releasing anything. We get these lackluster revamped Chinese Democracy outtakes that feel rushed and or catered to a short attention span generation. We had some amazing epics on the Illusion albums, Chinese was amazing as well but these four songs aren't even a dustprint on My World's Ass. This will be a petty and silly thing to add but now that Axl has this particularly short hairstyle it's like he doesn't sing as well. Can we really be welcomed to any jungle by this? I'm used to and i want to see these guys as long hair guys, this feels like he's giving up. Long hair doesn't discriminate age, look at Willie Nelson. He looked great/cool back in 2016, why did he have to chop that off? Back to the main point, I dont think they have any tricks up their sleeves and most fans have moved onto different bands/artists anyway. What was once referred to as my second favorite band (Rush is always my #1) now they are dwindling down my list and fast. Yes I've seen them 5 times and obviously still enjoy it, but ehh I've delved into Prog among other genres and I'm getting more out of that nowadays
