【Bocchi The Gear! - Part 8】- Which amp Bocchi uses at home and at Starry ?
I've played an early 2000s EBMM Stingray 4er at a secondhand music store. It's an incredibly finely built instrument, easy as all hell to play, and has great presence, especially on active mode - yet also clarity and articulation while on active mode. Definitely a touring and studio-worthy instrument........with an appropiate price point, to boot.
the home amp looks so cute it looks like a heater
so good
what song did she play?
nothing - she was just noodling
Just looking at the video, it could also very well be a butterscotch finish. The "Sterling by Music Man" series is cheaper and the butterscotch StingRay is around the same price as the Marcus Miller shown in the video.
Cool!!❤
Where did u buy your guitar?
드래곤볼 OST 느낌나네
Harley Benton MV-4PJ Natural Is also similar (the pickguard is different) and Its a lot cheaper than both
But it has different pickups and their positioning so it probably won't replicate the iconic tone
@peakdartpl7580 I mean, its a few times cheaper, of course it has
❤
Damn, Ryo’s allowance really was a lot
Blues driver pedal is more expensive than my electric guitar LMAOOO, well in the future maybe i can buy it 😭😭😭
Whats the background music?
Peak🔥
Is there a video for when to buy a second bass 😭😭😭 if not please help me bro
you can buy your second bass when you know how to play it well enough and want to treat yourself!
@bocchicos I don’t know when good enough is My friend said to break a string by playing then I’ve been dedicated enough to have a new bass and restring ig
Birthday might be a good excuse to buy another one
Not much need for a second bass other than for specific purposes or if you just want another. I want a good fretless bass, currently have a Jazzbass
@@randybrown2220 I’ve got myself a PJ style and im thinking about trying a soap bar one (like Hiroi Kikuri) just wondering when it would be acceptable to purchase one yk
Do you know what pick size bocchi uses?
The anime shows Dunlo) tortex 0.5 mm
@bocchicos damn really thin
@bocchicos really??? Wow I've been using that pick since my first day with acoustic guitar until these days with a stratocaster. thin as hell it gave extra treble & clarity but can't shred due to its thinness
Flimsy. Thicker picks are a bit better. I simply use a thumb pick or bass pick.
@@randybrown2220arguably depends on use case and tone. Any thickness is a tradeoff of different qualities. For example, one might think that bass needs thicker picks than guitar. Indeed, I thought so early on too. And while I still generally like 1.5mm nylons, and often use 3.0 Dunlop Flow Jumbos, there are times in which I use 0.73mm nylons or Tortexes for a bit more treble, compression and control. Nolly of Periphery uses 0.6mm Tortexes and he tends to slam that thing through the string...while still remaining in complete control and precision.
I wouldn't vouch for the THR5 personally. It wasn't intended for bass use to begin with and isn't made to be used for anything beyond practicing. The THR 10 II is a better alternative even if it's a bit more expensive
will you do gear from the manga or other anime?
Nop ! anime only.. i aldready know the gears used in the manga but i dont want to spoil anime watchers so ... i hope the S2 is coming soon :,)
@bocchicos we really need season 2, pls cloverworks give us season 2🙏🙏🙏🙏 btw how about other anime like K-On or GBC? will you do it?
@bocchicos love the Scene in ryos room...
I'll leave this for another youtuber if they wishes @@Dduedulz
HALLO!!!
HOW DARE RUclips HIDE THIS FROM ME FOR 5 MINUTES
Where to get pick
The pick is so cool, and the tone is immaculate! Another great update, my guy! 🔥
I always chuck a compressor at the back of my chain, right in front of my instrument. Those are pretty crucial with bass since you want to be as much of a solid, even wall as possible. There's also little trick (known as double compression) which has you also putting one between amp and the speaker cab, which Tony Levin famously does. The earlier compressor is for you base signal, which gets shaped by the effects loop, and then finally the second compressor takes the entire tonal 'picture' and smooths it over a little. While compressors can be used to make up for uneven playing, a lesser-appreciated but hugely important use is in a compressor's ability to increase sustain by bringing a signal's decay upwards a bit.
Can't wait for the full song
Legit sounds amazing
Thanks Ryo
Hey can you pls share your guitar rig presets .
Okay !
@bocchicos Will you be making a video ? If so then please talk about all the plugins you use i.e for bass, drums and guitar tone XD
❤
🔥🔥🔥
This channel is so helpful for a noob like me
❤️
hey man do you know how to make my bass sound like kikuri's ? Great video by the way !
I'll work on it 👌
@bocchicos I'll try and further experiment to attempt to capture the tone in Watashi Dake Yuurei, since I actually have the exact bass, but so far, I haven't been having any success. What I can say for sure is that a core element of that tone in that song is due to pick playing. The Ano Bando street performance version, Kikuri is clearly playing fingerstyle, tonally. There's light amounts of drive thrown into that one.
these girls are geared up
i dont use pedals lol
The bassist on the Marvin Gaye album "what's happening brother" didn't even use an amp.
@RealBagelProGamr 💀💀💀
He didn’t mention fuzz pedals but they’re my personal favourites so I’d definitely recommend you try them
yeah they're kinda related to overdrive dist is....crunchy fuzz....takes your sound and expands it a little with a layer of wool
i dont have money for pedals :/
same :( i make do with Tonocracy tho software wise on PC - but if i wanna play on an amp it has to just be the stock sound
I'd get a audio interface and bass simulator rather than buying effect pedals. That's more economical.
How many kidneys do you have? Any more than 1 is just surplus.
Save up for some Joyo pedals if you can, they're great value for money.
@@HolaSoy4riel Go with Behringer pedals.
Hey gita-hero, should i get the 112v or the 120HBK? Completely new to electrics, much appreciated!
Bocchi's guitar😳🔥 How can i get it???
99 like bro is anice video
Where u get ryus settings?
I tested many settings until I got a similar sound
bass goes brrr
arigato gotoh san
Yo my birthday's coming up and I'm being given a budget of a little less than £300 to spend on guitar stuff. I was thinking of getting a new amp (I've been using the Yamaha THR5 for the past couple years) and wondered if it was worth it to get a new one, and which one. Or should i put the money into pedals instead? (I only have a looper and overdrive). Btw i love your videos and they're actually super helpful and interesting lol please keep it up
It depends on what you need the most ! do you need a bigger amp ? maybe a nomad amp like the THR30 ? Of the THR5 suits you well then you can explore now types of pedals like Delay, Reverb, Compressor etc !
@bocchicos I'm not sure, I just heard that some amps give a better sound/tone to others and I wasn't sure what to make of that. But yeah I was thinking about a delay pedal (especially since I know bocchi uses one in 'never forget' so I'd need one to play the song fully)
Ughhh I wish I could understand music theory like this guy😭😭😭
babe wake up, new guitar hero upload
the goat of fun guitar lessons
eheh ty !
to leave background music on when youre playing the guitar is kinda controversial decision good vid though
I love how you make GOOD QUALITY videos, even tho not having a huge fanbase or subscribers😭
ahah thanks you ! i keep trying to do my best ^^
🔥🔥🔥
After about 7 months I finally have my very own TRB1004J (NT, of course). It's quite a nice bass, and while it's no Dingwall or EBMM Stingray, it certainly can go toe-to-toe with a Fender American Ultra, and at a lower price point than an American Ultra. I'd say it plays at its price point, which is good to see. Its EQ is voiced pretty nicely, and doesn't give you a bunch of frequency range options you don't need, allowing you to better fine-tune the range of frequency EQs that you actually would use. It's also a bright and punchy bass even when biased to neck pickup. It's pretty effortless to play, sporting medium frets. It won't do the P-bass thing very well but that's not the point - it's a J-bass, and it's very good at being that. Now as for the big question: how does it play with a shamisen bachi? While I can play with a bachi on a 20F Dingwall or a 20F EBMM Stingray, I can't for the life of me find a sweet spot on which to comfortably play it on the TRB1004J with a bachi while producing a passable tone. Not sure if it's just the 24F nature of this thing that obstructs me more, or whether it's that plus the positioning of the neck pickup. Wouldn't advise playing alternate picking style with a bachi, you'll grind it down in no time, so play it shamisen style - mostly downstrokes with the occasional upstroke. However, you gain in treble but lose out on bass and even mids. Either way, bachi on bass is a party trick, really, and you lose more than you gain - especially in terms of bass presence.
Now it's time to ask rhe real question How to make songs like HTT/ houkago tea time from K-on Yes it's "u related" to bocchi, but it's still cute anime girls + band (This probably wont be read anyway, lol. Also keep up the good work)
due to my bocchi related content i'll probably not make a whole video on HTT but I can explain a little ! From what I've gathered, especially from the opening, Yui uses almost exclusively power chords, and their music is often based on major scales. Mio, on bass, doesn't use bass lines as technical as Ryo's, but they're still pretty rhythmic. Ritsu is comparable to Nijika. Yui and Azunyan's rhythm and lead parts are relatively simple but effective. HTT vibe's is that of a real high-school band, not a professional one like the Kessoku band, whose techniques are far too complex for a real high-school band.
