The reason Xtina has an other octave is that she uses her whistle, but a 3 octave range is pretty big and not than enough for most songs :). And don't forget that the most important is the way the singer sings and use the range, not the size itself.

I think we'd have to hear sing a lot more often like this (i.e, in live performances) before we jump the gun and compare her to someone who has a lot more than one obscure demo as proof of her vocal talent. Besides, I still find her voice unpleasant to listen to, even when stripped down.
