Anyone know the truth as to why the UFC cut Harris after winning 3 straight in dramatic fashion and only losing one decision after? It was his 4th fight in 1 year after 3 straight KO's/TKOs. Did he sleep with one of Dana's "girlfriends" or something? I know he never fought the elites in MMA, but look at his career, he won 4 championships in 4 different organizations. What a shame the UFC gave up on him like that.

Two of my favorite fighters. Chael absolutely dominated Silva for 4.5 rounds. Unfortunately for Chael, Silva was intelligent enough to pick up on his strategy and got the choke from the bottom. Still in the end, Chael went out swinging and made Silva work to keep his belt. Ain’t no shame in losing like that. Both are legends IMO and have my complete respect. (PS. I don’t care about the testosterone that Sonnen got caught for. Everyone was juicing at this time, including Silva).

Honestly don't think this was luck. Yes Chael dominated and was winning but one of the fundamental aspects of high level jiu jitsu is reading your opponents moves and habits. Chael was legitimately taking Silva to the ground but given how quickly Silva slapped that triangle on I would argue that there was just one positive thing for Silva having been dominated by wrestling the whole fight and that is that he most of the fight to learn Chael's habits, errors and openings and Silva showed incredible focus to put the triangle on the moment he had the chance. That's high level jiu jitsu more than luck, especially since he defended well enough to prevent Chael from getting the TKO despite dominating ground position most of the fight.

What an amazing year of fights

If you watch closely Silva timed Sonnen's punches from the top and actually hurt Sonnen from the bottom with a right hand. That caused Sonnen to cover up and shift his weight off Silva's chest allowing Silva to make the move for the triangle.
