    Chopinを誠実に見事な技巧で気品がある。完璧だ ホロゥ゙ッッの音色や魅力は素晴らしいが曲によってムラがあるように思われますが、ミケランジェリはどの曲もムラなく完璧でした。

    Tragic yet beautiful correlation with this song. It's a testament however, of the triumph of the human spirit over evil, and that music can invoke that in us.

    The true beauty of this performance is the slow section starting at 1:08. He is deliberately very slow, slower than many other performances here, and it creates a wonderful contrast to the frantic speedy waltz that precedes and follows it. His voicing of the melody is wonderful, he really uses the beautiful sound of the Steinway to make this section shine.

    Занимаюсь гитарой. Прослушала этот вальс не менее, чем десяти довольно известных профи в мире гитары. Попался Горовец. Стала интересна его трактовка. Мда....это, конечно даже не сравнить. Другие акценты и нюансы. Все на своем месте. Вот у кого учиться и учиться...

    Horowitz and Lang Lang. That’s what I need if everything blows up. They are the two most emotional pianists I found after listening many. Not meaning others aren’t good but these two are unique and beyond piano. They die for us while playing.

    I love what he does at 0:35, very different from how others lets say Evgeny Kissin play it very evenly. Any one has an idea how is this thrill played to sound like this?

    • @MarcAmengual
      @MarcAmengual 3 года назад

      I think this is just played very fast, like, how it should be played (without taking time from the other notes, like if the thrill per se was a note itself). Some pianists do it longer because it sounds good or whatever, but this way sounds better imo.

    Horowitz's hands are so huge that he doesn't need to do the rotating wrist movement for the piu mosso part.

      @@monicacaramelo7085i saw somewhere that he had a handspan of 26cm which is very large, rach had one of 30cm, personally i have one of 25 and still find a couple tenths a bit annoying so its probable his hand was in that range, i can play a messy 12th with my handspan

  • @everybodymodelcars275
    @everybodymodelcars275 3 года назад

    It is a shame that some random guys in the comments critise the playing from the maestro, in this performance, the touching and the voicing is beyond human level. You may not like his performace, but for me, this is my favourite performance of this Waltz, and probably among all Chopin works. If anyone criticise his playing, I think they doesnt know too much about piano nor music.

      op 64 no 2 is one of the mental cinema pieces where most of us are prejudiced towards a certain interpretation. for me horowitz doesn't present a good match but that's a matter of taste; nonetheless his technique is relatively flawless as always

      I was a concert pianist for the better part of a decade, before moving on to a more normal and sane life, so I imagine I know something about piano and music. I don't like this interpretation at all. His other recordings of this work are much better. Here, he disrespects the music.
