For Co-IP different affinity tags (e. g. FLAG tag) can be expressed next to the protein of interest. This overcomes the problem with antibody availability as anti-tag antibodies are widely produced (an thus are also more efficient)
my DNA eluates always come out with some residual contaminants from the cartridge, showing a high nanodrop peak around 280nm. The eluates are yellow tinted and have small bits of debris. why is this?
