Short video here gushing some on the Lightyear Hyperspeed toy ships from Mattel. Amazed how well they go for 28mm gaming and also work great for Star Wars Legion. Think they are perfect for keying in on an objective area or adding a little life to the tabletop. Just some terrain to break up the typical buildings and barriers you might have for your regular game. Check the links below. Mattel Hy...

good tips - particularly storing brushes upside down after use. I'll try that.

Thanks for putting this out there! I think I'll be ordering this and I really appreciate the opportunity to hear your thoughts first!
I was pleasantly surprised how it plays. Granted a bit of a learning curve, but not too heavy and surprised how flexible the automa appears to work with all the expansions (only Prelude here myself). Hope you like it. Cheers!

Thanks for the review of this ! Very helpful.

Hi Ken, just acquired this game, i enjoyed your Batrep...keep up the good work...very inspiring...thanks for posting.
Thanks! Still working out kinks of capturing the action. CRZ is pretty fun. I think almost a tabletop version of State of Decay. Hope you like it and choose your starting survivor skills wisely.
Timestamps: 0:00 Introduction 0:59 Expansion contents 3:13 Automa turn explanation 8:02 My gripe with Awards 11:21 Starting turns tweak 14:06 Final thoughts Of course me being a marble mouth, I meant to say that the Neural Interface token gets points for each spot left open that "you" the player don't terraform. Quite the challenge as the automa freely fills in those hexes and gets points for it.

She came out great! Nice highlighting. Subbed!

I think every sci-fi hobbyist owns one of these ha!
Yeah. I think the gig is up. Poor kids that see that opened Amazon package with excitement. And then see their dad cackle while going down into the basement to paint it up.
Rip off of the Gradius, Vic Viper.
No skin in this fight. Take it up with Disney.
Looks great! Thanks for video!
Cheers!
Ah! Ive heard people talking about a Buzz toy that worked great for 28mm scale fun. Now i know what it is. Sadly it doesnt seem to be a thing over here in the UK. Its not on Amazon. Bugger. Looks bloody nice. I would get two, take a hammer to one. Nothing like a bit of wreckage to add some drama to a battlefield.
Odd as being Disney IP, you can't pick it up. Try scouring Amazon for Hyperspeed Lightyear ships. However, it's been a while since the movie came out. Could be tough to find one in the EU. Hope you can snag some as they're pretty nice ships (and dirt cheap too).
This is the same stuff they sold for The Walking Dead game. It's just same stuff. Killer fluff-terrain to add debris' but kinda Bland. I would expect more from Mantic Games. Just a re-release. They NEED to (Mantic Games! You listening?!) is do some furniture and rubble-scatter. Broken buildings, trashed-out cars, burned-out cars' , somebody would try to RIOT in an apocalypse, right? Maybe add grafitti-decals .
Dunno. Looks like they do have ruined urban buildings and damaged furniture. Agree more would stuff would be great though.
I have that kit, and both truck were very distorted. I managed to heat bend one back to useable, but the other refuses to come straight. There is much better out in the market now.
That's valid. I think for the amount of stuff, it's a pretty decent set of terrain. But will admit the vehicles are pretty basic (and lean heavily to using them as wrecks).
Looks pretty fun ☺️☺️
Cheers!
Makes me want to paint my Zombicide minis
Quite frankly, dabbling in contrast paints have made me think the same. Cheers!
It’s a great game. Nice video.
It is quite fun and one aspect I love, gobs of additional rules to tweak your game. Cheers.
Good job, Moon Knight is tough to make visually interesting (slathering him all in white is definitely not the answer) and I think you made him look about as good as possible.
Thanks. There's a lot of ways to tackle him. I sorta went the lazy route, hee....
No idea why youtube recommended this on my front page but kind of glad that I clicked it, nice little tutorial Ken!
Cheers!
👍
Great overview of the process. All I can add is I buy makeup brushes at the Dollar Tree to use for my white dry brushing step. They last a while and I beat them up in the process.
Yup. Makeup brushes are a great for drybrushing.
I found the details pretty great in the Project Z range, but the longer rifles and some of the skinny arms were a bit fragile for my taste. Of course, I'm not great at being careful, and I haul my CRZ stuff to conventions and stuff like that. The weapon sprue that comes with them is unmatched, though! I get a ton of use out of that stuff, especially the backpacks. Never enough backpacks in miniatures. Make sure you check out the official CRZ minis over at black site studios. I think they're great, but I was involved in the process, so I'm biased. I hope you enjoy County Road Z!
After putting a few more together will freely admit assembly can be a tad finicky. Totally agree that the spare weapon/gear sprue is what likely makes a decent set of figures shift to a fantastic buy. Haven't looked too much into the official CRZ line but will be sure to check them out. Cheers!
