Good idea getting rid of the pebbles but Iam not sure about sand not mixed with topsoil. How did it work out? I am going to try the hay cuz mine don't like hay or grass but I think in the wild they probably eat it cuz they don't have romaine and the things we feed them.

I have a red ear slider that I named Leroy. I got "him" when he was barely bigger than a dollar coin. About a year ago I was looking at "him" and realized. Leroy is definitely a girl sooo I continue to call her Leroy but the name just doesn't fit 😅 my boyfriend calls her leroyett. She's about 8 years old now.

I actually love the little closet you have set up! I also like having my animals out in my living space instead of off in another room.

I have a female baby (3 month old) Eastern Hermann's Tortoise. I've heard multiple sources mention they prefer to be kept alone, but I see many people keeping them in groups as well. If I was to get a female Leopard Tortoise of a similar age would they both like each other's company or is it best to keep her alone and not mix types of Tortoise? Thank you Subscribed 💚🐢

The size is nice, but the inside looks aweful. There are so many videos out there with nice naturalistic builds (bioactive or not). Even if people insist on these anthropomorphising enclosures (your beardie does nothing with a "home" sign), at least avoid injury risks like the carpet which is pointless and claws can get trapped.

I'm getting my female Eastern Hermann Tortoise this week. I'm building a summer enclosure after Christmas now the cold weather has arrived in the UK, so she'll be inside with her lamps until then unless we get some freak sunshine. She is currently the length of a AA battery.

that’s how my female beardie was acting dec to march brumation. But she wouldn’t eat anything at all. When she did come out she ate like 5 superworms but no salad. But mine was actually sick and from what my vet said she was dying she had a respiratory infection and vet said it wasn’t. I had to have her put down back in April this year.

I never knew that's a negative condition. I thought the "spike" shapes on their shells are designer quality!

Ngl im scared for this tortoise. So many things wrong I wont even comment.
