TANAMI DESERT TRACK WITH TRIP IN AUS
Come with us as we cross the Tanami Desert from Alice Spring’s Northern Territory to Halls Creek in Western Australia in 3 days/ 2 nights! The Tanami Desert, one of the most isolated and arid areas on earth. Crossing the expanse of the Tanami Desert, the Tanami Road is actually a fairly well-formed gravel road (the first 296km is bitumen). It is, however, an isolated route, that is closed after rain. It is recommended that 4WD vehicles are used for the road and outlying areas and you will need to be well-prepared and self-sufficient. The longest stretch on the road without fuel supplies is 772km.Aside from the rugged landscape, hundreds of km’s of corrugated road you can also pay a visit ...

FLINDERS RANGERS With Trip in Aus Ep1
Great vid. I won’t be taking the Harley down here, but hope to do it in the future.
Done that one not a bad trip, good vid BUT, you do what alot of the vloggers do and put yourself in most shots when we would like to see more scenery, I swear sometimes I think you guys are running for public office, happy travels
Better go to Canada and learn good English!
Loved it thank you !
You can actually walk down inside and it's quite eerie. I was out there in 2006. And they do have a designated campground with showers and toilet
Love your video. I have driven the Tanami four times - First time it was rough but OK. Second time it was 80 kms all the way from the Canning Stock Route (Near Wolfe Creek - which we drove for 21 days from Wiluna) to Alice Springs. Third time from Halls Creek it was 300 kms of mud. And the fourth time it was Hell on earth with wrecked trailers, Roof Racks & burnt out vehicles ( The graders couldn't get in there for 6 weeks which is why the track can be so different). As a fun fact we have had strange things happen on all our trips around Wolfe Creek (The movie spells it wrong)
Mrs Richards: " I paid for a room with a view!" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) " That is Torquay, Madam." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
Nice Guys We did it 33 years ago corrugations 7 to 10 inches deep. Rabbits Flat stayed the night wild, they were selling fuel $2 half a litre. Loved it thanks for taking us along with you changed so much Cheers
what happens when u dont has any gas
You die
Then wrong turn
what happens when u dont has any gas
thanks for uploading, awesome content. I'm going there in May or June so there was a lot of useful information in this vid to help me plan. Yep I'll take a fly net !!
great video thanks. What month was this? (I'm into birds and I could hear either a Gang gang cockatoo or yellow-tailed black in the background at the beginning.) ! Thanks. Craig.
How did you like the rttent?.
Is this trail rideable by mountain bike? I mean is it legal.
Thar desert
Very nice. I am Indian
Glad you didn’t see mick🤪
Well done to you both. I’m glad you took the video, now I don’t have to do it
50
What sorta speeds were you averaging for the journey
The Tanami depends on when it was graded last & can be anything from "Freeway" to hell on earth.
Thanks for sharing your hike guys. Three of us are booked in for this October doing it end to end so its really helpful to see what we can expect, campsites, climbs and views to look out for. Cheers legends
Can't believe how many locations you showed us in that video. Certainly lots of great things to see along the way.
Awesome video guys, thanks for sharing your hike! I actually just visited the other day and posted a video from the park myself but only got to do day hikes along the way, I hope I can get back to do this one at some point as well. What a gorgeous spot 🙌🏼✨
Hows it work with the stupid booking system if you change plans and skip camps? Not a fan of the platforms.
Nice work guys , love watching your adventures while dreaming of our next one (hopefully in July for 5 weeks) . We loved our trip to the Red Centre a few years ago now and we absolutely loved Redbank Gorge but the whole place is magic 👍👍
If you guys are ever looking to do the Great Ocean Road walk from Apollo Bay to the Twelve Apostles then give us a call. You could leave your car in our back driveway in Winchelsea and we could drop you off and pick you up from the walk. Alternatively we could help you with a car shuffle so you can leave the rig at the last town on the walk and we would drop you at the start. Chris and Angela from day 2-4 of the Grampians walk.
Aww thanks mate! I think we will take that up mate. I’ll get in contact with you early next year.
Day 1 - 0.19 kms in 😂 absolutely gassed
So nice to watch your video guys, you guys are amazing to have walked that much with those huge backpacks. Xx
Nice vid. Looks harder than I anticipated but also more pretty
good job rummy
You know son it's okay to be proud of your vehicle. Repeating that this item is good enough makes it seem like it's not fabulous. It clearly is fabulous and works for you, so you should be proud of that.
Thanks mate 👍🏻 That’s right, does it’s job!
Hi just come across yr comment and thought you might like my setup for some ideas. Have a look at Out There Touring
Regarding your fridge cable, check out “Cable Caddy”. Designed for the MSA drop slides. I have one and it makes everything so much neater and longer lasting.
Thanks mate I’ll check it out
I drive a sibgle cab 79 Land Cruiser & empty tray i jusy run 5psi in the air bags. I've got old man emu BP51 suspension 2' lift. Arb bull bar, 12k pound warn winch scrub bars and side steps also.. heavy load with boat or trailer i run 10-15psi haven't noticed much difference.
Awww thanks mate, 15psi feels like there working with the leafies 👌
@@tripinauseathanjacinta5371 I've got a fixed compresssor behind passenger side & run tpms, air bag pressure, battery monitor, fridge control, lights, ground speed all off Linx, which is just like a plc computer interface on the dash. Quite a good tool, I didn't want a dozen switches and all the wiring.

Nice rundown mate and a nice rig! Looked at a canopy for mine, but damn those weights! Great to see some locals doing the lap, enjoy!

So jealous, Karinjini certainly at the top of our list. I feel better about myself now I’ve seen you both have a beer. Just keeps getting better 👍 cheers 🍻 Jeff n Tash
Love it!
Can’t wait to get here. Thanks for sharing 🍻
Jacinta is very much like Tash. Not too keen on the 4wding. But I’m slowly wearing her down 🤣🤣
Another great video 👍👍
Newly subscribed from your rig run down vid. Now trying to catch up on your previous vids. Loved the video, you guys are a fair bit more active then us, but nonetheless thoroughly enjoyed. Looking forward to watching the next one 👍
Legends, thanks mate!
Great video mate 👍. I’ve got a very similar setup on our Ranger. Yes the weight does add up just as fast as the cost I’ve found 😂. As for Springs I’m running a set of 500kg constants with air bags. I’ve strengthened the chassis too, might be worthwhile checking out. I’ve done a RUclips video in it and other mods, haven’t done a full rig run down just yet. It’s in getting a sas conversion at moment hopefully get it back next week. Anyway enjoyed your video and have subscribed to follow you guys. cheers 🍻
Thanks mate, I might check that video if yours now 👌 Safe travels mate

Met u guys at Mandalay beach last week. Loving watching the trip. Keep at it and enjoy Albany. 👍
Do you know what weight your ranger is? I have an xlt ranger with boss canopy and the same ome suspension with extra leaf set up and I absolutely battle to stay under my gvm and I don’t have extra extra stuff you guys do like diesel, water etcc… is the canopy ventilated at the bottom? If not definitely don’t store the gas bottle inside the canopy you could blow yourself up! Lpg is heavier then air and won’t vent out unless there’s holes in the bottom of the canopy.
Hello mate Yeah there hard to come under weight aren’t they. I’m well over mate, there wouldn’t be a Ranger or same size car touring Australia that is under weight. Yeah gas bottle, she’ll be right. Cheers mate safe travels
Agree lads, mine is pushing 4 t fully loaded and the 2 off us.
