Love this song, but isn't it just a slowed down version of "The Strokes - Ode To The Mets"?
It's not really the same chord progression, and that song's chord progression is somewhat common as well. But it's definetly similar, although I wouldn't call it an inspiration for this song (couldn't find a mention of that anywhere, aside from it just being a similarity).
