Is it quicker to cover everything or simply remove the tyre and unlace the spokes? Good excuse to take em off/on before they permanently fuse themselves to the nipples and have to be cut off eventually

It's a better repair to use rubber cement on the plug before insertion. This helps vulcanize the rubber of the rope plug to the tires rubber. It's possible you'd have no leaks the first time using the one plug + cement. Other than that, good job showing the process !

Have fun men. I grew up fishing that river. You have it so much better than we did because I grew up in the 60's and 70's not long after the industrial revolution was in full swing. Not many fish could live in that river back then. Catfish and carp were about it. It's gotten a helluva lot better now that all these steel mills in Pittsburgh and on down the river are shut down. We had plating plants and other plants all so that processed the steel and they dumped crap loads of acid into that river. that is why there is mercury levels in the fish. Used oil, acid, and everything in between.
