Never knew this wee film existed until I bought the John Leyton, Lone Rider 3 CD boxset on Cherry Red Records. Charles Blackwell playing himself and Clem Cattini on drums and a pre-bleached Heinz. Great stereo sound. Joe Meek couldn’t read music but was a musical genius.

Hello, do you have in your resources the 1957 version of ''Over the Rainbow'' by Jackie Davies and his quartet a.k.a. Chico Arnez. I can't find it anywhere on the internet, some kind of phenomenon as others are found years later. Well, except maybe Don Carlos with his 1958 album of the cha-cha genre. If you don't have it, do you know anyone who has bought it and might have it?

I honestly never heard of Johnny Leyton before seeing this short and I've been a fan of oldies music for a long time. Not all the great music that came out of UK in the 1960's made it across the Atlantic. And for the American oldies fan, seeking out those British songs that never "made it across the pond" can lead to some wonderful undiscovered treasures like everything in this video.
