In this video we got permission to access a public lake on private side and it paid off for us, it was an awesome mixed bag hunt. Passed up on several opportunities on pintails because of how quick we shot our limit. We actually shot a white wing scoter but didn’t put a follow shot in it and it dove and never came back up

Gotta be careful out there. My grandfather's friend didn't come home from a hunt. Search party found him frozen to death in a tree. Not sure what happened but I'm guessing he was deep in the wood on a cold day. Fell in over his waders. Climbed up in a tree to dry out and died before help arrived. This was before cell phones. Carrying a phone is a financial risk (mine got wet this season and I had to replace it) but I try to keep it in the top pocket of my waders or jacket in a Ziploc bag and only remove for emergency use.

Been through this more times than i care to count. Whether is be from trying to get a dog thats broke through ice or just sinking myself you always want to keep the waders on brother. Get out get safe dump the water out of the waders and get them back on asap and start moving as much as youre able to, to keep your core temp up.

Should have had a belt around your waders. I very fell with waders on in water with belt , keeps water out, no problems just keep going.

We humans are, in general, meat eaters. I'm ok with that. But respect the animals you are eating. You don't kill animals just to hang on your wall to prove you're a man, you don't treat stock poorly, you do your best to have a clean kill, and you don't stand in the parking lot of a fast-food joint holding two dead sandhill cranes by their necks. That's disrespectful to the cranes and to the people in the restaurant.

Boys, hopefully you learned your lesson about wading in unfamiliar conditions and especially in ice. You all also need a refresher on gun handling. That is some of the sloppiest gun handling I’ve seen on one of these videos. Help each other cross ditches by holding the other guys gun for him and quit throwing guns around like they are toys.

So glad you made it out alive, but what the hell were you thinking? You were in a channel with mud walls and no way out. Nothing to grab onto and trying to make it up a muddy slope in waders is "difficult" at best and sometimes impossible. No duck is worth dying for. Get on your knees and thank you maker for still being here. Hearing you yell for help, I could tell you were pretty spent. You were lucky this time, don't let it happen again. I didn't see one "funny" thing in this video.
